The excitement Luna shows here is how my heart feels about the past weekend. Sunday the River Run family headed north for our first annual day of service. We went to Give a Dog a Home Rescue rescue where the kids and I (including employee of the month Jackson and Ben)helped organize and move food and equipment while Dean did some electrical work and helped redo a wall that had gotten damaged. My amazing sister Alison Nichols and Taryn did afternoon dog walks and sent this photo. Thanks to everyone whonwas flexible about pick ups! Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something! My kids came home with an greater understanding of how serving others fills your heart!

I want to thank everyone who came out to support the rescue at the craft fair last weekend. We were able to raise about 500.00 to support these sweet babies! Here is a quick video of where the money will go🥰. Give a Dog a Home Rescue doing so much hard work I am happy to help in what little ways I can!

Made a quick trip to Give a Dog a Home Rescue as there may be some exciting news coming Leah's way 🙏. Look who I was greeted with as they took a break from playing in the snow to say hello. I will try my luck at names from left to right but there a couple I am not sure of. Spike, Shawn, Fluff (maybe Fern🤣) Gracie and then the older girls Darla and Shelby. Can we just talk about how gorgeous Darla is!!

Brandi has been here a for quite a bit while people try to figure out the next plans for her. She has been a pretty unhappy girl even though I have tried all my magical tricks. Today we found out Izzy was the one who owns the magic. River Run is so much more than a boarding kennel to me.

I love all breeds and mixes of breeds. It is so fun to me to watch how their “traits” show up even at play. Willow the Retriever vs Leah the Shepard mix.

This little love is so smart. She has only been using a leash for a few days and is figuring it all out. Leah is just amazing. Give a Dog a Home Rescue thanks for letting me be part of her process!

Leah has the most tender, sweet soul. She loves affection and is a deep thinker. She is going to make an amazing family member! Give a Dog a Home Rescue
