Here’s a story we know the Maxwell Fam will absolutely love. My uncle called last week to ask me about what to do with a puppy he found while working in Texas. She was totally malnourished and a hot mess but as sweet as could be. So he got her into a vet in Texas and then drove home cross country with her in the tractor trailer. So let’s welcome Sophia to the Maxwell Fam 🥹🥹🥹

Friends! We are forever grateful to Kamden’s mom who did an oh so special event for us when we were raising money for Betty the Newf puppy a few years ago. So we’ve never been happier to donate to something! Not to mention - how freakin cool is he with that mullet?!

Friends! Football season is here! So Sunday morning drop offs for boarding will change again this year until November (with the exception of Labor Day Weekend 9/1 that will remain the same).

Sunday morning boarding drop offs/pick ups will be 7-8 AM! Afternoon will stay the same 4-6 PM! We will reach out to everyone personally to remind you of this if your drop off or pick up fall on a Sunday!

Maxwell Fam! This is a courtesy post. Is there anyone out there interested in being a TEMPORARY foster for this little guy? As many of you know we’re big advocates for those battling addiction and seeking recovery (shout out to my dad for being a hero in this field at Malibu Wellness Ranch). This pups owner has the opportunity for a fresh start but won’t take it without having arrangements for her best friend coordinated (we can all relate to that right?!). So looking out to the best peeps we know to see if anyone would be willing to let this guy hang with them for a month or so.

Okay guys ... bittersweet update. First of all - thanks so much for all the name suggestions! We went with Nova which the comment said meant new beginnings - which sounds perfect to us ❤️. Also huge thank you to the wonderful woman who found her in the alley and called the police. You are the true hero! Although we are crushed that she will not be able to rehab here with us - it is officially an open criminal investigation of animal cruelty. For this reason she has been taken under the custody of the humane officers at the SPCA. They are committed to finding the monster(s) who did this to her. They have promised us when she is out of the woods and begins to gain weight we will be able to be her foster family. Thank you all so damn much for caring so damn much! Novas surely got a hell of a team rooting for her and we can’t wait to see her soon. ❤️❤️

We know you all are wanting an update so here’s the little babe getting some treats! She’s starting to trust us already and is eating and drinking great. We have no clue what she is or how old just yet but we’re thinking she’s young. The police are actually the ones who asked us to help this morning so they are well aware of the situation and filed the necessary reports. Also the dog warden stopped today and got the info he needed. Off to the vet tomorrow so we can find out what she needs to get on the road to recovery. Thank you all so much for reaching out about donations. We are taking care of everything for now but will post if she needs anything that we cannot manage. You are all wonderful! Most importantly now ... she needs a name. Give us some ideas!
