Looks like it'll be raining to ring in the New Year (which will be good for many animals & veterans). Here's to hoping for a great 2025!
So I hear that this wonderful weather will be replaced with typical August weather again soon. That means less outside time for the gang if it's too hot & humid. So I'll just leave today's short video here to make you smile - ya can't help it π€£
So the mulberrys are starting to slow as the season is winding down. Trixie has decided her season isn't over. If they won't fall, she's gonna go after this 1 low limb & get them herself - stinker!
Ugh - the gnats are horrible here most of the time because we have a swamp behind our property line. I think Jett hates them just as much as me π
So I brought out a new ball & I honestly can't believe that Jett could get her mouth around it. Here she is introducing herself to it - she does this with every new toy or recycling I put outside LOL
So the squirrels are hard at work digging up all the black walnuts they buried last year. Apparently, they like to take them up into the mulberry tree, crack them open & eat them. The 1/2 shells end up on the ground & Trixie thinks they're new toys everyday π
Notice at the end I hold out my hand for her to drop it & she gives me her paw instead LOL
So I put a few treats in pieces of newspaper & crumpled them up good. It was a treat hunt rather than an Easter egg hunt! Jett & Lager knew just what to do since I used to do this when they were young. So they had an unfair advantage & got most of them but I think everyone had a bit of fun doin some nosework π
This is Trixie's favorite ball. Don't know why, it just is. I put it inside in a box towards the end of the Fall & just brought it back out today. It was like I brought out an old friend that she missed dearly π
New recycling to break down for the pups today.
Jett likes to yell at empty boxes because...well - they're empty but all smell like stuff for themπ€£ Lager will protect Jett sometimes when she's workin on something so I had to take a pic
Gotta love when a pibble plays appropriately with a young 22lb pup. They were playing tug of war with a rope toy. Pitties are all so scary - Faith would absolutely lick us to death π€£
Ummm...I only wish it worked like that & the box would magically become full again once you yelled at it π
