I have been a horse owner for 60 years and a professional instructor/trainer for 35 years. I am caring and compassionate to your needs as a beginner or advanced rider.Teaching total horse need-to-knows! From purchase to end of life. Riding, training, recreational and show. Western/Cowboy Dressage. I have worked with a majority of breeds including many gaited breeds. No gimmicks.

My heart is broken😭
I bought my little Mr Gun Smoke cutting mare from Gary. I rode and trained with him for several years. He was so good to me and patient.
He was such a great talent. He was such a kind man.
Rest In Peace my friend. I will NEVER EVER forget you.
🙏🙏MY prayers are spoken for his family, friends and the Cutting horse community.🙏

We are a family. We all come from different circumstances and backgrounds, but we all have a common link in the horse industry. We never really know what someone is going through or dealing with until perhaps it is too late. We lost an incredible man, trainer and friend.

Our Story

I am an AQHA Professional Horseman Member (since 1997). I have been a horse owner for over 55+ years and an instructor/trainer for 30+ years.

When we become horse owners, the role of trainer becomes our responsibility. Every minute we spend with our horse is a training session. They do not differentiate between activities. They see everything we do and are constantly reading our bodies and responding accordingly. Quiet, patient, firm but fair communication is like magic. My goal is for all horse owners to “take the reins” and become the leader their horse wants and needs. To help us understand the counterintuitive relationships we develop with our animals.

I am caring and compassionate to your needs as a beginner or advanced rider. I respect and build upon the experience a person already has. Teaching total horse need-to-knows!
