Gemini really loved the treat box that Nevaeh Frey and Girl Scout Troop #4830 made for homeless kitties. He loved it so much, he decided to wear it as a hat! No, no! Get this thing off my head!

Thank you to Miss Nevaeh Frey and Girl Scout Troop #4830 for making these awesome goodie boxes for homeless cats and kittens. The girls donated the hand packed boxes to local shelters for cats looking for their forever homes.

Nevaeh also kindly gave one to me to use for a Black and Orange Cat Foundation kitty. We presented the box to our kitty, Gemini, and, needless to say, he gave it his stamp of approval.

Just look at Nevaeh's sweet note to the kitties.

Videos to follow of Gemini's enthusiasm for the box! As usual, the box was the best part for a cat!

Cheese and her sister, Wookie, are the remaining kittens from the final litter of a mother cat who we were finally able to get spayed. Their poor mom was a kitten machine.

Cheese and Wookie are about 11 weeks old. They have been held and handled since they were 3 weeks old when their mom was finally taken into care. They like to lounge around on your lap and are very, very loving babies.

Wookie is a gorgeous long haired gray and peach dilute calico who looks like she is always having a bad hair day. She is so cute that her little face just makes you smile.

Cheese is a rare orange tabby female. Most orange tabbies are male (she did have an orange brother who has already found a home).

Wookie and Cheese have had their first vaccines and been dewormed. Their mom tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. They will be going on November 17 to be spayed and microchipped. They will need additional booster vaccines in two weeks. The kittens will be able to go to their new home after their surgery on Monday.

The sisters are good with other cats and are young enough that they can easily be introduced to a cat-friendly dog. They have also been around teenagers and would be fine with cat-respectful children.

We would like for the sisters to be adopted as a pair, but will consider splitting them up, but only to a home that has another cat for the kitten to bond with. If the two are adopted together, there is only one adoption fee.

To find out more about Wookie and Cheese or to request an adoption application. please email us at [email protected] for more information.

This is a coutesy post for a lady who is trying to re-home her kitty Milo, because he is not happy with her other cats.

Milo is harness trained and loves to take walks like a dog.

Milo was found as a stray. He is a 3-year-old orange tiger tabby. Milo is neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, tested for FeLV and FIV (negative). He has a microchip. He will need a booster vaccination in 3 weeks.

Milo would be better and happier with someone who doesn’t have other cats. Dogs would be okay. Milo is a very friendly kitty and very social.

He loves people, cuddles, and taking walks. He doesn’t like being alone, car rides, or being in a carrier.

If you would like to know more about Milo or to request an application, please email [email protected] for more information.

Gordon or Gordie is a gorgeous gray and white male cat who showed up at a rural farm in Mechanicsburg, Oh already neutered. He was probably dumped out in the country when he was no longer wanted.

We are trying to help the nice lady who is caring for him find him a home.

Gordie is super friendly and must have once had a home. But now he wants someone to give him a warm, inside home that will be his forever. Forever.

Gordie was already neutered. The vet estimates that he is about 2-years-old, so still just a baby. He has had a rabies vaccine and been dewormed.

Gordie has been around other cats. He would be good with children. He is very loving and waits for love and affection when he sees the family come outside.

If you would like to get an adoption application or find out more about Gordie, please email us at [email protected]

Thomas, aka Tommy, showed up on a nice lady's porch and she began to feed him. Tommy has been staying in a heated cat house on her porch, but she lives on a very busy road and she is afraid Tommy will get hurt. He is so nice that she would like to find him an indoor, warm home for the winter. Tommy is located in Mechanicsburg, OH.

Tommy is about 4-years-old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, treated preventatively for fleas/ticks, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV.

Tommy is good with other cats and would be find with older, cat friendly children. We are not sure how he would be with a dog as he has not been around one.

If you would like to give this sweet boy a warm, inside only home for the winter, please email Black and Orange Cat Foundation at [email protected] for an application and to find out more.

This is a courtesy post for a lady who was caring for a feral cat colony and found the very friendly and non-feral Toast in their midst.

Toast is around 1 year old. He is neutered and received his first round of vaccines — he will need round 2 in a few weeks.

Toast is FIV positive, but is “as healthy as can be” per the vet. Cats with FIV can live very long and healthy lives. They just need to live inside and receive regular vet care. FIV positive cats can also live with non-positive cats. The virus is mainly spread through deep bite wounds with fighting or in vitro with mother cats passing it to babies. A friendly, neutered cat like Toast will not be passing the virus through fighting.

For more information on FIV:
https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv

Toast is on the small side, around 8 pounds. He is outgoing, friendly, and affectionate and cuddles with his foster family on the bed or the couch every night. He loves dinner time, playing with toys and catnip, and is great with kids, dogs, and other cats. He would thrive in a home with a friendly dog, another cat, or humans who are looking for a lap cat!

If you are interested in adopting Toast, please email us at [email protected] for an application and more information.
