Help us congratulate our December Volunteer of the Month- Steve!

Steve has been volunteering with us for 2.5 years and is always up for a new project! He is often helping with property management or new developments around the property. When is taking a break from working so hard, you can find him spending some quality time with Rein. Steve is always willing to step in when we are short handed and it means the world to us!!

One of Steve’s favorite memories is enjoying a fall twilight at the end of the pasture. What a beautiful moment!

After Steve retires from teaching he would like to adopt a few retired racing greyhounds to add to his family! He has the biggest heart!

Steve, we cannot thank you enough for all the time and effort you put into our program! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We are humbled and grateful to be in the Witches Night Out Joliet, IL Annual Fundraiser orbit for the second year.

After last night’s reception to celebrate their 15 years supporting Will County non-profits and exceeding $1.1M raised, we know that anything is possible as long as kindness and love are leading. Thank you, Witches, from the bottom of our hearts (and hooves).

We did something! An idea that went big for all the right reasons. First a huge thank you to Witches Night Out Joliet, IL Annual Fundraiser for supporting our desire to improve our covered arena. We need a way to make it more functional for Novembers and March's. But we also have another issue for our horses, they are getting old and need to slow down. These two bumps in the road came together with amazing results! FIVE brand new stalls that close the north side of the arena from wind, rain, and snow. Thank you to Jim Corradetti who helped fund this masterpiece! Thank you to Ken Huizenga who was the contractor who constructed the 5,000 piece puzzle! Thank you to John Francis, always the engineer! All of our volunteers who helped with moving things, put up with crazy turn outs, moving mats, our two great work groups who gave us three Saturdays to winterize and stain the new stalls! I am in love with US! Together, we do good things- I love it! Thank you all!

We are so thankful to be in such a giving community! BKS Business Knowledge Systems, Chad Holstead and his team have gifted RSR WiFi extenders that allow us the use of cameras all over the property. This is great for keeping an eye on our older herd members, and you can get on the internet while your kids are busy in thier lessons!

Help me congratulate our November Volunteer of the Month- Macy!

Macy has been volunteering with us since Spring of 2024. She loves to help out in our sessions and spending time with Kayla. One of her favorite memories was getting to lead a horse for the first time! A fun fact about Macy is that she doesn’t only love horses- she also loves her Siberian Husky named Easton at home!

Macy has really taken volunteering in stride and is always looking to try her best and learn something new. We can’t do what we do without you Macy! Thank you so much! Congratulations!
