Hello everyone!!! It's been a hot minute since I have posted. So much has happened.

First, we welcomed our grandson into the world on Nov. 26th. He is amazing and everyone is healthy and happy.

Grooming has been a bit of a mess. Trying to navigate baby sitting and a full time job (when you are the full time babysitter) has been a challenge. We are working out the kinks and finally getting into a routine.
Scheduling, moving forward, will look a little like this: 3 week days available during the day. This includes the first and third Saturday of the month. I will also be offering a few evening appointments to fill in the gaps and try my best to get everyone scheduled. I hope this will help everyone I can, each week.

Thanks for your patience with me as I get things sorted out. Here are some pics of the reason I am doing what I am doing and some of the dogs I have recently done.

Hello everyone! So I am 18 days into my new adventure. I am still working things out but am trucking along. It is especially odd to come home to a semi quiet house(my personal dogs still let me know I've been gone to long for there liking🤣) but I am finding my groove. Here is a few pups that I've groomed in the last few weeks. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for sticking with me and giving me support and comfort as I switch gears on so many levels in my life. I am humbled and look forward to going to work every day.

Each week that we are getting closer to the crossover to full grooming, I am excited, sad and humbled. Excited for the new adventure. Sad because of the change. Humbled because my people never cease to amaze me. 💚🐶💚

We are completely booked for pup sitting through the end of the month.

October 1st we will be exclusively grooming.

As promised, I will honor all pup sitting reservations made before the announcement of us closing.
**Please note that if you chose to get a new fur family memeber, that will change the booking g and we will no longer be able to honor the previous booking. This is due to not taking any new pups moving forward.

I will be listing my available hours to groom in the next few weeks. Until then, please reach out if you have any questions.

This past week has been a whirlwind❤️ First, we are going to be boy grandparents for those of you following along with everything. 💙💙 We had the gender reveal last weekend. I will post the video so you can see how everyone found out.
Here are the amazing pups I was able to groom this week. Again, I can't say enough about how much it means to me that my families are coming with me and trusting me with their grooms. It fills my heart with joy.

I am taking limited clients right now until I completely transition on October 1st. My goal is to have my calendar set in the next few weeks so I can update everyone with my availability moving forward.

So let me start by saying this grooming thing is hard!🤣🤣 Learning a new craft at almost 50 years old is also hard! One of the biggest compliments and something I am truly loving is my pup families sticking with me and supporting my new journey. Today I had the privilege of taking care of these 4 beauties. They were all so good for me.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on how things are progressing with the changes coming. I am currently taking limited pups for grooming. My days and times are pretty limited because I am still committed to taking care of the pups in my care at home. As far as appointments go, please reach out and I will see what I can work out. Please remember that I am renting space somewhere outside of my home. I am in Joliet, only about 10 minutes away from where I live.
Now, pup sitting information. I am no longer taking bookings. My closing date for sitting is still October 1st and as of right now, I am completely booked until then. It has been a bitter sweet past couple of months getting to spend my last times with many of you and your pups. I'm sure as we get closer to October 1st, it will become increasingly hard. I am happy to say that some of you have reached out about grooming already and I will still get to see my adopted fur kids❤️ This means the world to me. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you all.

****Please remember, if you have a scheduled stay with us past October1st, I will be honoring that stay. I would never cancel on any of you.

Happy Wednesday everyone! We are slowly starting to transition from pup sitting to grooming. It's going to take a few months to get all the kinks worked out but we are trying to make as smooth of a switch as possible. Here are the latest updates and also a picture of the most recent groom I did on Parker❤️🐶❤️

💚We are booked through September 4th
🐶We are no longer taking new pups for sitting
💚We will begin full time grooming starting Oct. 2nd. Schedules are still to be determined
🐶Grooming will not be done out of my home. I will be located in Joliet off of Essington Rd. and Caton Farm
💚We will be completely closed for pup sitting Oct. 1st. We will fulfill previously booked visits

We are still Pooch's Playground and we are still super thankful for all your support💚🐶💜🐶💚

Hello everyone! We have some exciting news for our family but unfortunate news for our business.

As of October 1st, we will be restructuring and closing for boarding pups. Our business will be shifting to grooming (outside our home). Please know that this decision did not come lightly. It has been our absolute pleasure getting to know and love all of our pups and families. We have been helping our community and the surrounding areas for almost 12 years. We will truly miss all of you. The closing is due to us becoming grandparents in the near future. I will have the amazing honor of being my grandchild's primary caregiver. We just simply can't do both in our home. Here's what the next several months will look like as we prepare for the changes ahead:

💚We will be honoring all bookings that are currently scheduled.

🐾We are no longer taking new clients.

💚We will be on very limited availability for the month of September while we make the transition.

🐾We are currently booked through August 6th.

We have been working at trying to find a few other in home sitter services that we can refer everyone to. Unfortunately we are stuggling to find others that do things the way we do. For now we are encouraging everyone to contact Heather with Guardian Angel Sitting Services or to check out Rover.com so you can read sitter bios and find the best fit for your pup(s).

Again, we have absolutely loved being a part of so many families and we will miss you all. Maybe, I will still get to see you if you are ever in the market for a groomer.

May 2nd already! Can you believe it? Summer is just around the corner and only 18 official days of school left. We have a ton going on at the Playground. Here's the recap and reminders:

🐾💚🐾 We will be closed for our family vacation June 25th through July 1st (reopening on the 2nd).

💚🐾💚 We will not be taking any new families after June 1st.

🐾💚🐾We are completely booked for Memorial Day Weekend.

💚🐾💚 We are completely booked through June.

🐾💚🐾We have limited spots left for July.

I will be working with another in home pup sitter so I can hopefully help some families out with a referral.

Happy Spring everyone! Hopefully we have rounded the corner and will start to feel those warm summer days on our faces and fur❤️

Here are the current schedule updates to make planning vacations a little easier:

💚🐾💚 We are currently booked through April 9th. This covers both Plainfield Spring Break and the surrounding towns.

🐾💚🐾 We have limited spots left for Memorial Day weekend (May 26th through May 29th).

💚🐾💚 We will be closed from June 25th through July 1st for our annual family vacation. We reopen on July 2nd.

🐾💚🐾 We have limited spots available from July 2nd through July 9th.

💚🐾💚 We will stop taking new pups, for the summer, on June 1st. If you are interested in scheduling a meet and greet (required before any pup stays with us), it must be done by May 31st. We will resume making meet and greet appointments after September 5th.

🐾💚🐾 Lastly, the summer fills up very fast. Please contact us so we can get your pup(s) on the calendar as soon as possible. We hate turning people away❤️❤️
