We are a holistic horse center offering boarding, clinics, and lessons featuring faculty educated in Carolyn Resnick's methods, Klaus Hempfling, Natural Horsemanship, Natural Classical Dressage, clicker training, and Yoga for horse and rider. Amenities include oversized outdoor arena, new indoor arena, grass turnout, various boarding options (equifoam-floored oversized stalls, run-in boarding, et

c.), owner on premises, individualized care. Holistic practitioners available for holistic horse care, including barefoot trimming. The farm is located in the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts, at the end of a dead end road, with the original 1783 Federal Cape farmhouse. The property has been a farm of various kinds since it was built, and a horse farm for the last fifty years. There are endless activities either on or near the farm: walks on the property's colonial coaching roads in summer, and cross country skiiing or snowshoeing in the winter. Downhill skiing is very close by for more winter fun, and there is Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Kripalu, museums and endless exploration available in the nearby Berkshires. There are also many wonderful state parks with trails just a short trailer ride away. We welcome well-behaved dogs and children. Our horse accomodations are very comfortable, with daily turnout and lots of trails both on the property and in the nearby State forests.

Would anyone be interested if I put together a tack/supplies sale/swap? Everyone would bring their own table, we could have it in the indoor arena, public invited of course. --Rae

Back Acres farm is a brand new horse boarding and riding facility located in the Pioneer Valley of Western, Massachusetts just 30 minutes from Northampton, Greenfield and Pittsfield.
