There are going to be many changes coming to so I wanted to keep everyone up to date on my unavailable dates leading up to my scheduled maternity leave so please mark your calendars 📅 with the below dates!

I wanted to take a moment in the last few days of 2024 to thank all the wonderful families of ❤️ I started Dog Squad 7 years ago in May of 2017 and it changed my life. So it only seems fitting that another amazing life changing moment for me will take place in May 2025..

I’m excited to share some personal news - I am expecting a baby boy 💙 with my wonderful husband this coming May.

I know this will change things with Dog Squad but to ensure a seamless transition, I’m actively working to identify reliable dog walkers/sitters to take over my schedule during my absence. I’d be happy to discuss options with you and help find the best fit for your furry friend.

2024 is coming to a close, has NO overnight care slots left for the rest of the year. I have VERY limited slots open for drop ins/vacation care left so reach out ASAP if you’re in need of care!

There are a few days so far that I know I will be completely unavailable this year and into 2025 so please mark your calendars 📅 There will be more dates in 2025 that I will update as we move into the new year.

Derby wanted to drop by and make sure everyone has a safe Halloween 👻 He isn’t the biggest fan of the spooky decorations, but he found one he liked on our midday walk today 😂

With all the excitement and preparation that occurs as we celebrate our nation’s independence on the Fourth of July, our dogs are often not a part of the planning. would like to remind everyone that that by the time their hearing develops at 21 days old, puppies can hear 4 times the distance as humans and perceive a broader range of high-pitched frequencies from 67-45,000 Hz, compared to a human range of 64-23,000 Hz. Imagine the high-pitched squeal of a firework launching into the air followed by a blast 4 times as powerful as the sound we hear. Now imagine you have no idea what caused that noise. Painful? Scary? You bet!

So remember your pets this 4th and BE SAFE. Happy 4th of July ♥️🤍💙

🚨 Hot Summers Means Hot Pavement! 🚨

Did you know that asphalt and sidewalks can heat up higher than the air temperature? Here’s a quick test: hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws! 🐾 Here are some Tips to Keep Your Dog’s Paws Safe from 👇🏼

🐾 Walk earlier or later in the day when it’s cooler
🐾 Use Paw Protection: Dog booties can protect their pads
🐾 Walk on the grass instead of the pavement
🐾 Check your dog’s paws daily for signs of irritation
🐾 Always bring water and take breaks in the shade
🐾 Opt for activities in or near water, like swimming or walking along a creek

Keep those paws safe and happy! 🐶

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dad’s🐾 Dog dads are dads too!

I would like to take a moment and say thank you to my two favorite dog dads ♥️ Both of you have always supported me when it comes to Dog Squad and always helped take care of our two crazy dogs when I am running around and working to grow Dog Squad.

Scott Heddinger, thank you for always supporting and encouraging me. I wouldn’t be where I am without your help and guidance. You’re the best human and dog dad to all of moms personal and rescue dogs 😂

Zachary Gerald, You’re the best dog dad I could ask for. Major, Mollie and I are so lucky to have you. Thank you, for always having my back and supporting me.

I love you both. Happy Father’s Day 💙
