A message from our owner : Dr. Jeni Waeltz 🖊🗒
Dear Welcome Waggin’ Family,
Welcome to Spring! 🌺Can you believe we’re already nearing the end of the first quarter of 2025?
This time of year holds a special place in my heart. Five years ago, as the world was shutting down, I was working with Dr. Lisa McIntyre to finalize the purchase of The Welcome Waggin’. I graduated from vet school in 2011, and after nine years of trials and tribulations, I finally found the courage to take the leap into practice ownership.
I first started doing relief work for The Welcome Waggin’ in November 2019 and quickly fell in love with the house call approach. I loved getting to know you and your pets in the comfort of your homes. I realized that house calls don’t limit a doctor’s ability—if anything, they enhance the level of care we can provide because we see the full picture of your pets' lives.
Fast forward to today, and I can hardly believe we’re about to celebrate five years of new ownership! We have so many exciting announcements to share with you this year, but before we dive into the future, I want to take a moment to pause and honor the past.
The events of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic left a lasting impact on all of us. When I think back to that time of uncertainty, I’m so grateful I had this small but mighty business to pour my energy into. I cherish those early days of working from my house, looking at pictures of my little girls—who were just babies when this journey began—and marveling at how much has changed.
And, of course, these five years have meant building relationships with so many of you. You, our clients, mean the world to us, and we truly do love your pets as our own. Many of your beloved companions are getting older now, and as our team sits together in rounds discussing their needs, we are always striving to help them live their healthiest, happiest lives for as long as possible.
It’s my goal to stay better connected with you all, and I hope this monthly newsletter serves as a meaningful touchpoint. Thank you for being part of this journey—we are honored to care for you and your pets.
With gratitude,
Dr. Jeni Waeltz
