Athena The Husky
We had the honor to work with Athena. She is an absolutely gorgeous dog. We are working on her sit without barking. It key to not to mark and pay her when she barks. Please consider adopting her from the Hendricks County Animal Shelter
Blitz’s First Trail Run
Took Blitz out for his first ever trail run. It was great to be out. He did probably way better than I did. It is so much fun watching him grow. Not bad from being abandoned to this #dutchie #dutchshepherd #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #rescuedog.
Michael The Shelter Dog
Michael's enthusiasm often gets overlooked in the kennel, but this video highlights his amazing potential - consider giving him a loving home! #SecondChances #shelterdog #rescuedismyfavoritebreed
Kayde and Athena The Great Dane
Extra help with the dogs is always welcomed. Especially when it comes in small packages. We echo his statement about Athena. She is wonderful to work with. We still need to work on Kayde’s breed identification. The reciprocity of unconditional love shown to him back from Athena is what makes this greatest job ever!
Tulsa
Meet Tulsa! We have worked with him a few times. Tulsa is the sweetest dog. A sad fact that we learned about him today is that he hasn’t had one adoption interest since he has been at the shelter. This is some raw video of our work today. Tulsa is such a gentle dog that people don’t realize what a catch they are missing. #adoptdontshop#adoptashelterdog Hendricks County Animal Shelter
Saturday, we went back to the Hendricks County Animal Shelter to work with more dogs. This time we chose to work with some of the same dogs and a few new ones. Once again, the ability and energy of these dogs was amazing. Please give them a chance! #shelterdog #pittbull #adoptashelterpet #adoptdontshop
We took some time today and worked with a few dogs at the Hendricks County Animal Shelter. It is always so amazing to see the hidden talents in these dogs. We worked with a beautiful young Rottie, Roxie. Boi was another dog who could heel. Michael had a lot of energy but knew his commands. Each of these dogs just needs an opportunity to show you what they have to share. Please consider adopting one.
The Building of A Therapy Dog
We have been working on a variety of things with Miss Salem. We have been working on the some therapy activities. Here is one drill for helping people with anxiety. We are in the early stages of this with her. Even if it isn’t for her, we love practicing this one, and Salem would agree! Please consider her and others like her at the Hendricks County Animal Shelter. These dogs are capable of so much!
The secrets that you keep
Salem has been with us for over two weeks. Salem has become an amazing dog. Here are some facts that we know about her: Good with kids, potty trained, medium sized dog, super calm, very trainable, loves car rides, not leash reactive, dog friendly. Please consider adopting Salem from@the Hendricks County Animal Shelter. This just shows at some point in her life that someone had made an investment in her. It is so sad.
Salem The Shelter Dog and Recall
Salem has been doing amazing. Salem loves her time outside and loves the snow. What makes us so proud of her here is her recall. Salem has no equipment on. She has never seen an e-collar or other device. Look at the positive energy that Salem is exhibiting. Imagine her running into your arms. Please adopt Salem from the Hendricks County Animal Shelter
