We are open as of now. Please use your best judgment when traveling and drive safely if you will be stopping in today. If you need any supplies or we need to see your pet please call in this morning if possible. Depending on the weather we may close a little early to help our staff get home safely. Be safe and stay warm.

The Waverly Sale Barn has canceled the Special Feeder Sale for Tuesday, January 9th due to the predicted storm. This Sale has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd.

Job Responsibilities:
Have basic understanding on Veterinary Terminology and Pharmacology
Proper knowledge to access animal temperament and restrain appropriately
Obtain accurate history from clients on reason for veterinary visit
Check-in clients and place them in examination rooms
Relay appropriate information to and from clients to doctors
Discharge patients and explain discharge instructions
Sterilize equipment, prepare surgical packs and ensure cleanliness of treatment area
Confidently communicate with clients about patient concerns, symptoms and diagnosis
Process laboratory samples with efficiency and accuracy
Answer and triage phone calls, schedule appointments and process payment transactions
Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record
Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and
lobby clean and sanitary, taking out the trash and recycling, laundry, cleaning floors, exam rooms, and cleaning kennels

Skills:
Computer skills: Able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software program
Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Basic math and writing skills
Comfortable being around both large and small animals
Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position

Position Details:
Full-time with flexible work week and rotating Saturday schedule
Health/Dental/Vision insurance
401(k)
Salary based on experience

UPDATE: Owner has been found!

Hey guys! We need your help. We had a gentleman bring a dog in to the clinic that he accidentally hit with his vehicle but we don't know who he belongs to. He is an older neutered male with a green costal collar.

He was hit north of Plainfield on the Greene blacktop. If anybody knows whose dog this is please tag them or ask them to give us a call.

Hello PVS Family!

We've had several missed appointments lately and we wanted to just take a moment to tell you about a resource you have at your disposal.

We know life gets hectic sometimes and just like everyday life this office gets hectic too. We simply don't have the manpower to call every single person and do personal reminders because the phones never stop, however we do have PETLY.

Every person that has their animals seen with us automatically has a petly account but in order to utilize it we need your email address to be on file. From there you can go to petly.com and see all the information on your pets, when they're due for vaccines, you can even request appointments and receive email reminders!

The other thing we are trying is text message reminders that will come to your phone provided we have a cell phone number.

We hope this helps to keep things running smoothly for you!!

Hello PVS family!

We have a few doctors taking some much needed time off within the next couple of weeks. What does this mean? This means that our appointment times are extremely limited and we will have to triage accordingly. We will still have our drop off services available and if your pet needs emergency services we'll be here as well. We will also be doing some technician appts to help keep up with vaccines. Please have patience as we are working to fit in appointments for both large and small animals.

Now is the time folks; now is the time to make sure you have those medications to help your pet cope💊 Now is the time to have that special place for your pet to hide where noise is minimal- a place away from windows that they may jump through out of fear.
