Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) NFP and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Ag Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue was established in May 2013.

With the love of animals, and the passion to help find them loving homes. Initially a successful foster based rescue and now has grown to over 50 volunteers and moved into the Pet Supply Outlet Building at 23907 W. Industrial Drive N, Plainfield, IL. Wags 2 Wishes is proud of their small yet cozy facility that put quality over quantity and the love of dogs first and foremost. The rescue center wil

Meet Sunday Sonny!

Sunday Sonny is a handsome, purebred yellow Labrador Retriever looking for his forever home. Sonny is 11 months old and full of youthful energy. Sonny is a very sweet, affectionate boy. However, like most young Labs, he needs an active owner who has the time to continue his training, play with him, and help him burn off that Labrador enthusiasm!
Sonny is good with children, but can knock small children down with his enthusiasm. He was an owner surrender and his previous owner said he is potty trained.

Trixie is an adorable 8-year-old terrier mix, weighing in at just 15 pounds. This sweet girl is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home while she undergoes heartworm treatment. Since heartworm treatment requires plenty of rest and a calm environment, Trixie needs a quiet home where she can relax and heal—no walks or playtime for now, just lots of love and comfort.

Ask about meeting Kalipso today ~ we are open10am-3pm! Kalipso lost the only home of 9yrs she ever knew when her owner passed away. 😪 She loves being with people but is suffering with kennel anxiety at the rescue. So we would love to get her in a home this weekend Kalipso is a stunning 9-year-old Pitbull with a heart full of love. Sadly, she found herself at Wags 2 Wishes after her owner suffered a massive stroke and could no longer care for her. This gentle girl is confused about her new surroundings, wondering where her person has gone, but despite it all, her tail never stops wagging. She thrives when she’s with her person, offering endless affection and loyalty. Due to her past experiences, being left alone is scary for her right now, and she’s still learning that she’ll never be abandoned again. Sometimes dogs do ok in a kennel... Sometimes they don't. Kalipso is not doing well at our shelter. Which is understandable She lived in the same home for 9 yrs til her person got sick and never came home😪 She pants constantly at Wags. And so stressed.
