Paws Pet Adoption is an animal rescue in Plainview, TX. Paws is committed to helping unwanted pets. We are run primarily by volunteers.

Pet adoption fees
Locally:$125-150 for dogs
$60.00 for cats
The fee includes spay/neuter (required!) and rabies shot. Out-of-state: Varies
Depending on vetting requirements, health certificate, and transport cost. Donations are always needed:

Dash went in for vet services on Thurs. He is recovering a few days at Merit so he doesn’t get wet.

If you would like to meet him, Merit is open today 4-6p and Monday 8-6

Dash is about 7 mo, 50lbs. He has been around several other dogs.

Nug’s turn for recognition! He is more American bulldog - a pretty big guy.

He has done well at events and enjoys his walks. He likes to flop and roll around. 😀 He may do well with female dogs, but not the males.

Luna gets her spotlight time during Pitbull Awareness month even though she will probably be with us the rest of her life.

She may have some lab in her - and maybe some pit.

She is reactive to people, so we don’t take her to events. Once you get past the protective exterior, she is a very sweet dog.

She does well on walks and she tried to jump in the car, but couldn’t quite make it. She enjoyed exploring a new area.

Project Help Vato! Just sharing an updated video of Vato (sm tan). His owner died many months ago and he was super scared. He has settled in at his foster, but he has some quirks - like he doesn’t like being picked up. 🙁 He likes his dog friends and he goes in and out the doggie door. He does like a little petting. He needs a place where he can be himself - quirks and all 🩵

Don’t forget: Chamley-Watson had 2 wks of obedience training at Bomb City K9. The trainer will provide support for Chamley’s life. We practice his commands some, but we know he would benefit from regular work with a great owner 🙂

Our Story

Pet adoption fees locally:

$150.00 for dogs under 1 year, $125.00 for dogs 1 year plus $60.00 for cats The fee includes, if necessary, spay/neuter (required!) and a rabies shot, Adoption fees are higher out-of-state due to more vetting, need for a health certificate, and transport. We are run primarily by volunteers. You are welcome to join us! Age 16 and over may volunteer unaccompanied. Ages 12-15 need to be accompanied by an adult during volunteer time, and may stay one hour. Please contact us if you are interested!
