Macalla's Biscuit Factory
Our little Macalla absolutely loves to make biscuits and we love to watch her hard at work! 💙

Welcome to Stonewall Mom's biscuit factory! 🥰🐾
We wanted to share a Stonewall Mom update:
She's doing well in foster care and went to see the optometrist this week. Unfortunately he can't find a reason for her blindness, he doesn't believe it's from the toxoplasmosis or its' treatment. He thinks she has some ability to see shadows, but that ability seems to come and go. Unfortunately he doesn't think this will go away and will likely be something she will need to adapt to and live with. She is functionally blind. Luckily for Stonewall Mom she is happy and otherwise healthy and is quickly learning to explore and "map out" her foster room.
As you can see she loves to play - we'll post some still images of her playing next week too - and she's not letting her blindness stop her. We think this sweet girl is going to have a fabulous future.
If you feel able to donate, Stonewall Mom and our other special needs fosters would really appreciate it. We're lucky to be a foster-based rescue, as we are able to save cats who, in municipal shelters, would otherwise be looked over or (sadly) euthanized. We love our special needs fosters and know that there are many families out there who will adopt and love these kitties just as much as we do. It may take a little more money and time to care for them and get them ready for adoption but we are always willing to stick by their side!

Here's another quick clip of one of the kitties trapped so far at the barn cat project we mentioned before. A separate clip of a different kitty posted this morning so be sure to check it out as well!
For those who missed the explanation - we're trapping at a local barn which has become overrun with kittens. There's approximately 40+ cats there and we're trying to trap them all before new kittens are born and the cold weather moves in. While we're running point on this project and doing all the trapping we do have 3 other rescues who will be taking many of them to foster and socialize. We will still be doing all the intake, initial medications (flea medicine, deworming, etc), and caring for them until the other rescues are able to pick them up and take them to foster - and that takes a lot of time and money, both of which we only have so much of as a foster-based rescue. If you're interested in volunteering, we always need people who are willing to learn to trap or set up cages with fosters. See below for link to donate or fill out a volunteer or foster application.

The lovely miss Joy wanted to share with you that she's loving her newest catnip toy that foster mom got her. We love seeing this sweet and shy girl so animated 🥰😽
Foxy 1 and 2 are having a blast visiting a different foster home while foster mom is away. We love watching kitties try new toys for the first time!
