The best way to get a heart rate on a patient….is by them giving you a hug at the same time! 🩺🤗

Garth was in for a surgery a few weeks ago and he did great! Before any surgery, we take a temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate of each patient. There are many benefits of doing this, with one of them being able to determine what normal readings may be for each pet under anesthesia. This is important as readings can vary from patient to patient!
