Plainwell Dog Park The City of Plainwell designated approximately 28,000 square feet of space in Cook Park for residents to enjoy with their dogs.

The park has separate areas for small dogs / large dogs encompassed by vinyl-coated chain-link fencing with separate gates. To create the requested space, from the community, for an off-leash area for dog owners and dogs; to socialize and play with other canines. The Dog Park Design and Fundraising phase has begun.

Our obedience classes begin November 4th!

Looking to start a training course with your canine? We have classes for all ages,, each being a six-week course from socializing a new puppy, to teaching proper manners and sharpening those skills, even classes for understanding reactivity towards other dogs!

Firework safety tips for pets from MSU Extension:

Don’t ever bring your pets to a fireworks display, even a small one.

If fireworks are being used near your home, put your pet in a safe interior room to avoid exposure to sound.

Make sure your pet has an identification tag in case it runs off during a firework display


Never shoot off fireworks of any kind, including sparklers, near pets.
