Due to allergies, we don't allow the cats to be with us in the bedroom at night, but let me tell you, they are VERY keen on getting into the bedroom in the middle of the night. The little guys didn't care about the anti-scratch spray or sticky tape we put on the door. Once they realized their scratches weren't getting them anywhere, they began to shove their paws under the door, grip the door, and try to shake the door open.

This went on for months before I finally caved and bought this mat, and man, am I ever glad I did. One step on it from both of them kept them away from the door. Haven't been woken up in the middle of the night from scratching or the door rattling since we bought it.
