Good morning to the BTRNT Village!
Am EMERGENCY request came in yesterday asking us to help this boy who was living in a small wire cage on the front porch with no water or food in sight. Our Volunteer was on the way to get this boy named Pickle who was no longer wanted by his owner.
Village this is where you come in….. Pickle will be going straight to the Vet so we can get a status on his health.
Please help us help him!
You may remember sweet Isabella who was at the Weatherford shelter at risk for being euthanized. A very kind lady saw her post and made sure she was there early on 6/14 so she could ensure this sweet girl would be safe. She adopted Isabella and went back later to pick her up once she was ready to go. What this wonderful lady didn’t know was Isabella - who is now Yoda - does not like to share her people with other furry friends. Yoda gets very jealous of other dogs and wants all of her human attention to herself. Yoda absolutely loves children and is very gentle with them especially when she is snuggling with her little humans.
Yoda’s foster Mom is going to work with a trainer to help Yoda be more social with other dogs.
Yoda has been fully vetted and is going to be on our available page very soon looking for her own family. Yoda is approximately 8 years old, house trained and gets a gold medal for her cuddling skills. She will most likely need to be the only furbaby in the home but would love to have some small humans of her own too…..she loves children!

My name is Frankie and I am very sweet nine-year-old boy.
I’ve had a rough time of it lately. My owner got sick and could no longer take care of me so I found myself back with the nice rescue people. I’m a little hard of hearing and I don’t get along too well with boy dogs but I would probably do great with females. I sure would like to find a nice home with some folks who are retired or home a lot. I love to snuggle with my humans and I’m just looking for a loving home to spend the rest of my years.

Good Afternoon BTRNT Village!
This is Mavis with an update for you all.
I went to the doctor and I am now on Antibiotics and ear drops for my infected ears. My Foster Mom had to put tiny socks on my feet to help protect me from scratching my ears but I am confident the medicine will make my ears feel better soon.
The Doctor found a Mammary Tumor that will need to be removed. I have not been spayed and I have some very loose teeth that will need to be removed. My eyes will be rechecked at my next appointment.
I know, I Know this is a long list and I wish my owner would have loved me enough to take better care of me.
I am putting my paws together in hopes you would be able donate to my medical care. I am a sweet, loving little girl who would appreciate any amount you can spare.

Welcome to precious Mavis! This senior girl found herself in a shelter with little time left. One call was made to our Volunteer and within minutes she was able to swoop in and get this girl! Her ears are painfully infected and her eyes need immediate attention.

Hey Peoples! Princess Peanut here. I am doing so good! I have started to eat some dry kibbles which is a really big deal for me. I have been successful eating my kibbles and keeping them down on most days! Yesterday wasn’t too good but Foster momma says don’t worry, we will get there. We take 1 step forward and 2 steps back but we continue to push on in hopes I can some day eat like a regular dog. (Don’t tell Foster momma but I don’t really mind the special attention I gets!) I also gained 2 pounds! Woo hoo! Overall, I am a happy puppers who likes to give my foster mommas lots to do, clean up and worry about. Keep thinking good thoughts for me…I’m really trying! All my love, Peanut PS - Thank you again to everyone who supported me on my journey and during North Texas Giving Day. I know my surgery was a lot of moo-lah. But, it saved my life!
