Harvey has always loved his walks, but his sensitive eyes needed extra care. Although he still gets a bit tired, thanks to his Rex Specs goggles, he’s back on his paws, exploring the world again! 🐶🕶️

🐶❤️ We have wonderful news! Our furry friend Netflix, who underwent successful cataract surgery with us back in March thanks to Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue, has found a forever home! 🏠✨ We're thrilled that this sweet pup has been adopted and is now heading home to start a new, joyful chapter of life. Here's to a bright and happy future for our four-legged friend! 🌟

While we are working to secure mill dogs from their miserable lives how about we say good bye to Netflix who really has had her dreams come true.

She truly is a little miracle rescued mill dog. Living in the mill blind with no hope of ever seeing, being sold to whatever other mill owner chooses to buy her, regardless of her blindness, because as you might have already heard. "That's not where the money is made"

Netflix would have been purchased and bred just like any other livestock they would have purchased, she could still produce puppies, who cares that she would most likely pass this juvenile cataracts problem to her offspring, nobody would know that when they see the cute little Frenchie puppy she gave birth to online or in the pet store window.

We had hoped that it would be correctable knowing it would cost thousands of dollars and months of care and we were right. Netflix went in for surgery and her vision was restored, she was taken care of round the clock with eyedrops having to be instilled every few hours to make sure they would heal properly and the pressure would stay down. There was a chance it would fail but it didn't it was a great success. This little girl is full of life, a little stinker and restoring her vision was a joy for all of us to watch.

It is said that patience is a virtue. If so, then Ray & Sherry Patrick of Sellersburg, IN are quite virtuous because they waited a very, very long time for sweet Netflix.

We reached out to them on February 23rd and she was marked pending shortly thereafter even while she was still blind. Her very successful surgery was scheduled March 21st, so an adoption date was picked. As with all good plans, they needed to wait until her recheck…then for her second recheck 8 weeks later.

Finally, today is her big day!! Her personality seemed very timid at first, but we soon realized after her surgery, she is a bundle of loving, playful energy. The Patrick’s have been through all the phases with video updates and they were steadfast through it all.

We can’t wait to see her keep her new parents on their toes!

Sweet Ruby became suddenly blind when she developed cataracts due to diabetes. 😔 She had cataract surgery with us back in January and has done fantastic! 🥰 It's been such a joy to watch her go from timid and worried to confident and tail wagging! Check out that vision!👀🙌

🐾Meet our sweet patient, Simba! 🐶❤️ He is a super-soft Bear Coat Shar Pei. It is very common for this breed to get entropion and Simba had a pretty significant rolling in of all four eyelids which made it painful for him to open his eyes. He had surgery a few weeks ago to correct it and is so much more comfortable now!

Our amazing vet tech, Keiko, made sure Simba felt right at home during his visit to get his stitches out. 🥰 It's moments like these that make our job so rewarding! 🌟
