There’s no better place to weather a storm than in Paradise! ☔️🐾
While Hurricane Debby was making her way through Florida’s northern region, the team at Pet Paradise Jacksonville Airport & Dr. Connolly from NewDay Veterinary Care University teamed up with Florida Urgent Rescue, Inc. - FUR to provide accommodations for 12 shelter pups in Union County to stay until the weather was safe to return. All of these four-legged friends are looking for their fur-ever homes, so check out Florida Urgent Rescue’s page for more information on adoption!

🌟🧑⚕️ VETERINARIAN HIGHLIGHT — Dr. Carino from NewDay Veterinary Care Winter Garden brought her passion for pet healthcare worldwide as she embarked on a mission trip to the Philippines last month. Alongside other veterinarians from across the Philippines, Dr. Carino spayed/neutered over 200 local pets, performed two cystotomies, and administered more than 100 rabies vaccinations across several provinces in the Philippines. Meet Bre!! Bre loves all of these babies with her whole heart but lil Gambino here holds a special spot, he’s the sweetest lil man! Bre is in school for interior design, loves boba and is very passionate about fitness, even running a fitness boot camp on her days off!! WE LOVE YOU BRE💖💐🐾!!!

Paws up for Thor, our Boarding Guest of the Month! Thor is a two year old Bull Mastiff that stayed with us for about a month and was a favorite since day one! Thor loves to spend his day camp time in the calm group where he’s lounge around and socialize with his favorite chaperones Bre, Logan and Karyme getting showered in affection!! His bestest friends were always Hurley, Theo & Buddy!!

🌟 CLINIC HIGHLIGHT — Our clinic team in Apollo Beach is doing meow-nificent work in their local community by partnering with Kittie Corral Rescue, a local nonprofit that helps critically ill and abandoned cats. To aid in their mission of rehabbing and rehoming these feline friends, NewDay Vet Care Apollo Beach provides much-deserved medical care to get these cats back to their purring selves. 😻

We’re wishing a happy happy birthday to our happiest heeler Chili!! Chili is a total sweet heart, he’s a day camp & boarding regular, and has so so much love to show all of the pups out in the play yard! He’s a happy, social boy and never turns down a good roll around the turf!! Even Chris wanted to come on down to hangout for Chili’s special day, the team has so much love for this sweet boy!!

🌟 TEAM MEMBER HIGHLIGHT — Say hello to Gabriel Vasquez, our groomer at Pet Paradise Wesley Chapel who has recently added "Life Saver" to his work experience! While grooming Suri, a frequent day camper, Gabriel discovered a lump that prompted her parents to seek medical attention. Due to his swift intervention, Suri was able to undergo immediate treatment and was spared from potentially losing her entire leg!
Separately, Gabriel also identified two lumps on his Resort Manager’s dog during a grooming session, both of which turned out to be cancerous. Thanks to his vigilance, those lumps were promptly removed by Apollo Beach's NewDay veterinary team.
Thank you, Gabriel, for going above and beyond to not only give our guests 5-star grooming makeovers, but to also make sure they’re healthy and safe! 🐾💗
