Spud and I spent the better part of this past week arguing about what present we were gonna get for Mum on Mother's Day. I wanted to order in a really nice dinner for all of us to enjoy together, but Spud worried that might come across as rather self-serving.
So then I suggested an order from her favorite chocolatier from back home (Harbor Sweets Handmade Chocolates) 'cause she really loves their little Sloops candies but Spud vetoed that because it was chocolate and we wouldn't be able to share in the deliciousness (and, uh, who is the self-serving one now, right?)

This went on all week and this morning, when we woke Mum up, she looked at us all expectant and eager, and we had Nothing. Nada. Zip. Not even a card. So now Spud is peeing on the floor to distract Mum (it's raining out and he hates the rain so she won't suspect anything out of the ordinary) while I get on her laptop to see if there are any last-minute Instacart promos we can order. Think I can get a robot mop cleaner delivered in under an hour? :)
