🩷 Buttercup needs your help! 🩷 Buttercup, a sweet 2-year-old Maltese, has been through so much recently. But we are here to help!

Buttercup was found on the streets after being attacked by another animal. She had to have drain tubes placed in and lost a lot of skin due to the injury. Unfortunately, the wound is in a difficult spot and is not healing well.

This Friday, Buttercup will undergo surgery to have her leg amputated to mitigate the risk of infection and aid in her recovery. The cost of the amputation is expected to be up to $1500.

Any amount you can contribute to help cover Buttercup's medical expenses would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can't donate, sharing this post with your friends and family can make a huge difference!

It’s a HAPPY TAIL! Panda (now Shadow) is doing awesome in his new home! 🥰 Shadow has been busy exploring the house, helping his new dad at work, watching TV with his new mom, learning how to beg for food like his new dog brothers, napping on the teenager during football Sundays, and enjoying alone time by sitting by his favorite window.

Have you ever wanted to make a difference? Become a volunteer with us!

In a nutshell, we help take care of the dogs and cats! Volunteers help take the dogs outside for potty breaks and bring them back in, clean up the indoor kennels, p**p scoop the outdoor kennels, clean kitty litter boxes, fill waters, give the animals baths, do laundry and dishes, and help feed the dogs during feeding time.

After more training, volunteers can take the dogs for walks!

Volunteers can also learn how to help animals find homes by becoming an adoption ambassador.

Our fav part? After we are done cleaning, volunteers get to play with the dogs and/or cats!

Natalie has been a volunteer since October of 2024. Natalie found out about Second Chance SPCA through her animal science teacher when looking for a shelter

Leni is a 1 year old, 48.5 pound, female mixed breed pup. She is a sweet girl that loves her people and loves attention. 🥰 Leni loves making friends with other dogs, but also enjoys being laid back and chewing on her toys. She also loves snuggles, playtime with fetch and tug-o-war, and going out on walkies, for which she walks very well.

I'm Clay! I am a 6 month old, male, orange tabby kitten. 🐈 You may notice my eyes look a little funny. Even though I’m 6 months old, my eyelids are still developing. That means I need eyedrops throughout the day. Don’t worry though! I'm an energetic boy with lightening-fast reflexes. First thing in the morning I like to be picked up for hugs and face rubs. I like to chill on your lap after some time jumping into boxes and paper bags. I'm a chatty boy who likes dogs and maybe other cats but will need a slow introduction to either.
