Dog Training of Tampa Bay, Inc. Dog Training of Tampa Bay- Unparalleled Expertise, Credentials & Accomplishments are only some of th No two dogs are the same! They prefer a social lifestyle.

Over ninety percent of all behavior problems are related to the ability to effectively communicate with your dog. Research shows that every dog possesses a unique personality. According to Ivan’s observation and experience, behavioral characteristics of dogs differ to the same degree as they do in humans. Indeed, much of what is known about human personality types is also applicable to the study

of dog behavior. Every dog owner is well aware of the fact that Dogs are pack animals. However, these packs are structurally dynamic, different dogs also possess different drives. Breeds that are generally more responsive to human command, also usually manifest higher levels of socialized behavior in pack situations. This tendency leads many to conclude that dogs that are more socialized also possess a higher level of intelligence, than dogs that are more autonomous in their behavior. Ivan and Natalia Balabanov point out, however, that the distinguishing factor lies in the trainer’s ability to motivate, rather than the intelligence of the dog itself. Breeds with lower pack drives require less attention and companionship than more social dogs. At Dog Training of Tampa Bay, inc. we are proud to say that for us there no hard to train dogs! Ivan’s revolutionary system Obedience Without Conflict is based on the ability to clearly communicate with dogs! His patient style of teaching has made him the most popular coach of trainers in U.S.A. Worked as an Animal Behaviorist for 5 years at The San Francisco SPCA ( the first non kill animal shelter in the world) his job was to evaluate and successfully rehabilitate dogs, who were referred by other professional dog trainers as hopeless cases. During the same time Ivan also developed the curriculum and was the original founder of The San Francisco SPCA School for Dog Trainers. Worked as an Instructor at The Guide Dogs for the Blind, inc. in San Rafael, CA. Where he trained successfully more than 300 dogs and students. Founder and former president of American Working Malinois Association ( AWMA) FCI ( international) licensed working dog judge Ivan Balabanov is arguably the most accomplished dog trainer in USA, but what makes a dog trainer the best in the world?

Leash reactivity. You’ve heard it a thousand times.

Trainers throw it around, clients repeat it, and somehow it’s become the magic explanation for every dog that barks, lunges, or pulls on leash.

But here’s the truth: there is no such thing as leash reactivity.
It’s a lazy label. A word salad. And it fails dogs every single day.

In this episode, I’m breaking down why the term doesn’t help.

Vote!!!

AWMA members - There’s a vote coming up (TOMORROW MEETING) to remove the entire AWMA executive board and start fresh.
If you’ve been following what’s been happening, and you’re wondering where I stand, I’m 100% in favor of removal.
I don’t believe anyone currently on the board, or who has served in the past, should remain in leadership.
It’s time for a clean break and a new beginning.
This meeting is a turning point for AWMA. If you are a delegate and have a vote, you must show up. No excuses. The future of the organization depends on it.

Somebody’s going home!!!
Today I’m delivering Zecke back to his owner 🎉

After months of training, Zecke and I became true friends. And here’s a word of advice for new trainers stepping into this work:

The real job isn’t just tackling the undesired/dangerous behavior(s) and teaching commands.

It’s understanding the dog. Every behavior has a reason.

If you miss that part, you’ll write the wrong prescription, and from there, the training will go sideways before it even begins.

The time has come!

For years, trainers have been asking how to learn more about becoming or improving as an IGP Helper.

I am happy to share that this opportunity will soon become a reality and we will be announcing the details during a zoom call next Saturday, August 30th!

Leave a comment that says "I'm Ready" to get the special link to register for the zoom call!

I have a ton of surprises in store for this call and I guarantee that anyone who misses the call will miss out on some special opportunities!
