I went to pick up Smokey,1-year-old dachshund, and possibly a couple of Yorkies… but ended up leaving with 5 dogs! More updates soon about the other little ones (not dachshunds). All of them are boys. Right now, Smokey and I are waiting while the group gets their much-needed grooming session.

Thank you Blount for volunteering, taking pics and posting this awesome story! We were so busy this year we didn't even get out and about to explore and shop. Thank you Dachshund Adoption Rescue and Education (DARE) for inviting us again this year.

"Doxapalooza 2025 was hosted again this year by Keel Farms, and once again I was in doxie heaven! 

I don’t know the exact number of attendees, but the parking lots were packed out.
My attendance was under the pretense of helping out with the Dachshunds Seeking Forever Home Rescue fosters, but I can’t hide the fact that it was just another excuse to fill my puppy love tank.
It was also great to catch up with my former student and treasured friend Lindsay Belcher and her husband Fox 13’s Charley Belcher, who was the MC for the event.
If you if you love fur babies like I do and have never attended Doxapalooza, you should definitely make a plan to attend next year!"

Mike and I want to also Thank Barbarann Bandley for helping with the dogs and answering questions. So Thankful for our book keeper Tammy Schuler-Beaudoin for stopping by to offer assistance and then going and buying us lunch. Lastly thanks to everyone who donated and and purchased any of the items we had available we raised 645.00 our best at any event. That is hopefully enough for Abby's dental on Tuesday.

Yesterday, Betty had three mammary masses removed, which have been sent off for biopsy. Thankfully, her X-rays showed that her lungs are clear. Today, she is showing off her new pajamas, since it’s difficult to keep a cone on her without a bottom jaw. We are praying for a negative biopsy result for our little girl.

Thank you to everyone who donated towards the vetting for Betty, Riker, and Tesla. We have raised $1,020 towards our goal of $2,000.

Riker has completed his vetting, and Tesla has been spayed and started antibiotics in preparation for her major dental procedure on November 10th.

Georgie has left the rescue and is settling in with his new family 🧡 His favorite thing to do is bring all the toys up onto the couch (so at least my floors stay clean! 😄). Scout absolutely loves him and plays the perfect little brother role by constantly keeping him on his toes. Happy life little guy!

Foster Bernie is doing well today, he finally ate around noon, and is drinking. He was rather restless last night, but 💤 good this afternoon. Here are the X-rays from his before and after. After the X-rays few GRAPHIC pictures so proceed with caution. I can see why it is such an expensive surgery. It truly is a Humpty Dumpty for his leg! Thank you everyone whondonated toward his surgery! ❣️

We are happy to share that Georgia has found her new home 🏡
Update from her new mom Jessica💜
She is doing great! She’s still a little timid around Bella and Guinness, but she’s getting more comfortable every day. She even lays in the same bed on the couch with them now — big progress! 💕 She absolutely loves the patio and running around the pool. She had her first vet appointment on Monday and did so well — everyone there loved her! She does need to have a few baby teeth removed and has the start of some periodontal disease, so we’ll be taking care of that next month.
She’s such a little love bug, and we already adore her so much. 🥰
