Catopia Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer and foster based rescue organization. This means that we do not have a facility to house cats or kittens we have for adoption and rely strictly on people like you to help us save lives. It takes an ARMY and without you we could not continue…

Do you love cats or kittens but don’t want the long term responsibility of providing them a home for 20+years?? Do y

ou want to help but already have a full-house?? Have some spare time and want to make good use of it?? Do you just enjoy playing with cats and kittens?? We are always looking for animal lovers with a huge heart to help us provide for the cats and kittens of South Florida. Because of volunteers like you, we are able to dedicate our financial resources to the direct care of our animals. Here are various ways that you too can help us! Foster Homes: Foster homes are so important! All of the cats and kittens we save need a safe place for them to stay while we find them loving forever homes. We appreciate you opening your heart and home to save a life. If you want to foster a kitten or a litter of kittens, we ask that you be willing to provide a time commitment to foster them for at least one month or until they find a forever home. Your dedication allows us to help cats or kittens we would otherwise be unable to assist. Fosters are needed for various conditions such as:
Providing a safe, healthy and loving environment for cats, kittens and even mother cats to raise their kittens. Giving adult or long-term resident cats the ability to stay (or be) in a home setting. Socializing shy or timid cats and kittens. Providing sick or injured cats ability to heal in a quiet home environment. Bottle-feeding orphaned or abandoned kittens. These kittens require the most work and time but are the most rewarding. As with human infants, around the clock bottle feeding of kitten formula is required, as frequently as every 2-3 hours for newborns. Catopia will provide all veterinary care, food, litter, crate, bedding, and any necessary supplies while in your care. All we ask of you is that you provide a safe environment with lots of love. Transportation: Have some extra time that you can drop a kitty off to be spayed or for shots? Or maybe to pick her up? May seem like so little but often times it helps us so much! HELP NEEDED!!!
My dear friend, Dori LoPriore, the founder of Sanctuary To The Maxx Rescue in Dunnellon is in the path of Milton. She has 200 animals in her sanctuary. I saw that people with an android Phone, not just an I Phone, she has a Samsung Galaxy, will be able to access Starlink or other satellite calling. I am really not tech savvy. Can anyone help her to figure out how to set it up in advance today? Please pray for her, elderly mother and the cats and dogs under her amazing care.

We are still searching for a home for Cookie. Please keep sharing her! I know there is a problem with the fundraiser I set up on this page. It is not allowing you to donate. If you are interested in making a donation towards Cookie's care or for any of our other permanent fosters, please go to Catopiacatrescue.org where you can donate there. We are still paying off over $12,000 in medical bills that are on the Care Card. Over $4000 is due next month and we don't have it! We were counting on a large donation at the end of August that we receive annually and were told in April was coming, but they never sent it. Unfortunately, I counted on that and should know better. So any amount, no matter how large or small, will go towards this bill. Otherwise there is no food money for the rest of the year! Please help anyway you can!!!

SOMEONE IS POSTING A SCAM TO GO TO A WEBSITE FOR US TO BUY CATOPIA ITEMS! IT IS BOGUS AND DONT ORDER ANYTHING!!!!!

!DESPERATELY SEEKING A FOREVER HOME FOR A SPECIAL NEEDS LITTLE GIRL!
Cookie is a 9 year old tiny little girl who is deaf and has chronic cystitis, 100% under control. Her mommy, who was one of our main foster mom's, died in October and left us her 11 adult cats to get adopted. Ten of the 11 are in new homes, and only sweet Cookie is left. She is still in her home, being cared for daily, but this is not a life for this precious little girl. She is alone so much of the time.
Cookie needs to be an only cat, as living with so many other cats led to the stress that caused the cystitis. She is very sweet and loving and just wants to be petted and kissed. We are looking for a home with experience with special needs, as she is deaf and obviously won't be able to hear you. Does anyone know anyone who has no animals who might be the purrfect home for her? We are willing to make her a permanent foster cat of Catopia, which means her food, medical etc will be covered by us. Cookie loves laying in the sun, playing with toys and cuddling with a human. Meet special needs Cookie! She is mostly deaf and has chronic cystitis that is under control. She has been living alone in a house for 9 months now with people caring for her daily but it can't continue.
We are still looking for a permanent forever or foster home for 8 year old Cookie, who is the last of Debbie Harnden's cats that need adoption.
Cookie is the sweetest, most special, tiny 8 year old female. She has cystitis that is under control with food and medicine that we will be happy to provide for the rest of her life.
Cookie lived in a home with many, many cats, which was the trigger for the cystitis. When her mom passed away, she didn't even make eye contact. Imagine we didn't know she was deaf. The poor baby. She is a different kitty now! She comes right away for love and attention and just adores being petted and kissed on her head!
Cookie needs to be an only cat. She will do best this way. We are looking for a special patient person who will give Cookie the time she needs to adjust. She loves laying in the sun and playing with her toys. But mostly, Cookie needs a person, someone to love and be loved by. . We know it's a tall order to find the right person who has no other cats at this time but we know you are out there. Please come meet Cookie. You will not be sorry. She can be transported if the purrfect home is found. She is located in Davie, Fl.

Words cannot express the joy and gratitude I feel over the homes three of Debbie Harnden's cats got! I am over the moon! Look at Lola and Buddy all cuddled together and Riley(black kitty) cuddling with his new sisters, especially Julia who has fallen in love!!!! I could not have dreamt up better new mommies or homes! Now only Cookie and Harper need new homes!

LOOKING FOR A MOMMY ON MOTHER'S DAY!

Meet sweet Cookie. She is a special needs kitty looking for a special mommy on Mother's Day. She is in need of someone who is patient and understanding as she is deaf and has chronic cystitis. Her mommy died in October and we are still looking for a furever foster or permanent home for Cookie. Cookie is 9 years old and we did not know she was deaf. We discovered it as we cared for her after her mom died after an almost 2 year battle with cancer. We know she was not born deaf but don't know when she lost her hearing. She also has chronic cystitis brought on by stress, though she is currently doing very well on supplements and medication.
Cookie needs to be an only kitty. She just needs a person of her own and space of her own. She loves laying in the sun in her screened in patio and making biscuits on you and her beds. When we first met Cookie, she didn't even know how to make eye contact and she didn't know how to be petted, though you could see she craved affection. She lived with many cats at times, since her mom had many and also fostered. And because she lived with too many cats, she gets stressed by them. Cookie never felt she had a person of her own or things of her own. But now she absolutely loves to be petted and climb on my lap to give me kisses. We have worked with her and now she is ready for a furever mommy on Mothers Day!
This special little girl(only about 7 lbs), needs someone experienced with cystitis. She needs a calm, loving, understanding mommy who will give her the time she needs to adjust. And my wish list includes a screened in patio or a big sliding glass door with sun streaming in. I am looking for a miracle but I know one is out there! Cookie is located in Davie, Florida! Please share her with all of your cat loving friends as well and keep your paws crossed!! And let's get Cookie the mommy and home she never had and deserves!

Today we are asking for donations in honor of Gina Carrone , the co-founder of Catopia Cat Rescue, on her fourth birthday in heaven. It is hard to believe 4 years have passed by. We miss and love you more than you could ever know. For those that did not know Gina, she had the most gentle and beautiful soul. Her passion and mission was to save abandoned cats and find them forever families. This fundraiser is to raise money to help us with the massive vet bills we have incurred over the last 6 or 7 months. I have attached our latest bill for Chris's hospital stay for pneumonia. In honor of Gina, any donation however large or small will go towards the bill.
We love and miss you, Gina, and are grateful for your guidance from above. We are not the same without you.

Chris is being released tonight!!!! He is off oxygen and while still sick, he will now recover at home! Picking him at 8 pm!!!! I have another crisis with one of Debbie Harnden's cats. Chris is in the hospital at Advanced Veterinary Hospital with pneumonia. The estimate is between $4000 and $5500! Right now I am just asking everyone to pray for this sweet, loving baby. I can't take much more.

UPDATE: Nine donators were anonymous!!!! Thank you to all of our supporters who have donated to help us with our bills. For some reason, Facebook is not letting me see the list of names of people who have donated, except for 3. If I have not thanked you personally yet, It is because we are trying to get the list of names! But we are so grateful to all of you for your help with these babies.

To all of our supporters, we are truly desperate to raise money to pay for over $4000 in dental bills! We don't have even half in our bank account and we have cats in foster who need food and vet visits! As many of you know, our long term foster mom, Deborah Harnden , passed away in October after a battle with leukemia. Many of you adopted kittens and cats fostered in her home. She left Catopia her 5 adult cats. And while they are healthy, 2 have needed massive dentals. The fabulous news is that Buddy and Lola were adopted together to a wonderful home, but Catopia was responsible for their dentals. Any donation, however small or large, will go towards these bills. We are grateful for the continued support because this time we are really desperate to raise this money. Thank you in advance!

This year, in honor of my birthday, I am raising money for my favorite non-profit, Catopia Cat Rescue! Those that know me, know I have been rescuing kittens and cats for almost 20 years. Right now we are in a crisis. I was left 5 adult cats when my foster mom passed away in October. Three have been adopted, Including Buddy, who had a massive $2500 dental. I am in need of raising money to pay this astronomical bill! Every dollar I raise will go to pay this bill! Thank you all in advance!
