Catopia Cat Rescue

Catopia Cat Rescue Catopia Cat Rescue is a 501c3 organization in South Florida. We need help through donations, fosters and loving homes for the animals we rescue.

Catopia Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer and foster based rescue organization. This means that we do not have a facility to house cats or kittens we have for adoption and rely strictly on people like you to help us save lives. It takes an ARMY and without you we could not continue…

Do you love cats or kittens but don’t want the long term responsibility of providing them a home for 20+years?? Do y

ou want to help but already have a full-house?? Have some spare time and want to make good use of it?? Do you just enjoy playing with cats and kittens?? We are always looking for animal lovers with a huge heart to help us provide for the cats and kittens of South Florida. Because of volunteers like you, we are able to dedicate our financial resources to the direct care of our animals. Here are various ways that you too can help us! Foster Homes: Foster homes are so important! All of the cats and kittens we save need a safe place for them to stay while we find them loving forever homes. We appreciate you opening your heart and home to save a life. If you want to foster a kitten or a litter of kittens, we ask that you be willing to provide a time commitment to foster them for at least one month or until they find a forever home. Your dedication allows us to help cats or kittens we would otherwise be unable to assist. Fosters are needed for various conditions such as:
Providing a safe, healthy and loving environment for cats, kittens and even mother cats to raise their kittens. Giving adult or long-term resident cats the ability to stay (or be) in a home setting. Socializing shy or timid cats and kittens. Providing sick or injured cats ability to heal in a quiet home environment. Bottle-feeding orphaned or abandoned kittens. These kittens require the most work and time but are the most rewarding. As with human infants, around the clock bottle feeding of kitten formula is required, as frequently as every 2-3 hours for newborns. Catopia will provide all veterinary care, food, litter, crate, bedding, and any necessary supplies while in your care. All we ask of you is that you provide a safe environment with lots of love. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please fill out our foster application (link to or photo of foster application). If you have any questions about our foster care program please email [email protected]

Transportation: Have some extra time that you can drop a kitty off to be spayed or for shots? Or maybe to pick her up? May seem like so little but often times it helps us so much! Please fill out our volunteer application if you can help with things like this, and also make sure you keep an eye on our page which is where we often request that kind of help! Application:
Special Skills: Are you good at something lie taking great photos, writing letters or grants, SEO or print marketing? If you have any special skill that you may be able to help us further our mission, please let us know! Application:
Please contact us if you are interested in helping us save lives! We look forward to hearing from you. We can be reached by email at [email protected]

Happy Easter from the kitties of Catopia!

Today I am raising money to pay for some of the astronomical bills Catopia has accumulated with the care of the cats left to us by Deborah Harnden when she passed away in October of 2023. All of my time, money and effort has gone to helping these kitties. Unfortunately in January, Riley, Debbie's cat she had since he was a baby, passed away of cancer. Little, sweet Cookie, who has chronic cystitis, ended up having a large bladder stone that had to be removed in emergency surgery. Her special CD food costs 4120 every 3 weeks, and that's only the food for her! I have attached some of the bills for the last few months, and these alone total almost $4000! I am very grateful to all of you who have supported Catopia through the years and continue to do so. Any amount, no matter how big or small will be appreciated and go towards the care of these cats. If you can't use the donate button on this page, please go to my page where the fundraiser is posted, or go directly to PayPal and Catopia Cat Rescue, Inc. Thnak you in advance!

Today is and please consider making a donation to Catopia to help us care for our adult, permanent fostered kitties, some with special needs requiring special foods, medicines and vet care. I know there is a problem with our donate button. You can either go to my page, Debbie Dinaburg Lifton and click the link on my post, go directly to PayPal and Catopia Cat Rescue, or zelle [email protected]. Facebook has failed to rectify this problem in time for today!
Any amount, no matter how large or small, goes directly to the care of these permanent foster. Today, in honor of our greatly missed co-founder, Gina Carrone, we ask for your help and support. Thank you all in advance

In honor of , we are raising money this year to care for our older cats and seniors in permanent foster. While they are in loving homes, Catopia is financially responsible for their care, including food and medical. Four have chronic health issues, including cystitis, asthma, bladder stones and cardiovascular. We feed the highest quality food and don't skimp on anything they need so please help us continue to be able to care for them! Here are some of our forever fosters ranging in age from 6 to 12. Whether you can donate $5 or $100, we are grateful for your support! Please go to PayPal to donate, or my page, Debbie Dinaburg Lifton , or you can zelle Catopia at [email protected]. They are not giving us a donate button.

HELP NEEDED!!!
My dear friend, Dori LoPriore, the founder of Sanctuary To The Maxx Rescue in Dunnellon is in the path of Milton. She has 200 animals in her sanctuary. I saw that people with an android Phone, not just an I Phone, she has a Samsung Galaxy, will be able to access Starlink or other satellite calling. I am really not tech savvy. Can anyone help her to figure out how to set it up in advance today? Please pray for her, elderly mother and the cats and dogs under her amazing care.

We are still searching for a home for Cookie. Please keep sharing her! I know there is a problem with the fundraiser I set up on this page. It is not allowing you to donate. If you are interested in making a donation towards Cookie's care or for any of our other permanent fosters, please go to Catopiacatrescue.org where you can donate there. We are still paying off over $12,000 in medical bills that are on the Care Card. Over $4000 is due next month and we don't have it! We were counting on a large donation at the end of August that we receive annually and were told in April was coming, but they never sent it. Unfortunately, I counted on that and should know better. So any amount, no matter how large or small, will go towards this bill. Otherwise there is no food money for the rest of the year! Please help anyway you can!!!
