Hey friends! Unfortunately our A/C unit is not functioning right now. We are working hard to get the dogs that are here today out as soon as possible. As for tomorrow, we will be closed. If you have a scheduled appointment I have left you a voicemail or text message asking you to give us a call to reschedule. The Urban Paw is looking for an experienced groomer. This position requires advanced grooming skills with knowledge and understanding of canine conformation and breed specific styles. Freestyle grooming is also a must as we often groom mixed breeds. Pet CPR through PetTech is necessary as all employees at The Urban Paw are required to stay up to date on Pet CPR certifications. If this certification is something you do not have we can help. Hand sc******ng is required for every dog, whether as a finishing touch or the entire groom sc******ng skills are an absolute must. Along with these skills you need to be sensible and kind to humans and above all to the dogs. No bullies allowed! To inquire about this position please contact Sierra or Paige at 816-321-2844.

Hi Friends!
We just want to thank everyone for being so flexible and understanding during our move process. We are officially operating out of the new building and we love it! We hope you will love it too!
Just a heads up! We are no longer curbside only. For drop off and pick up, you can just come on inside. If however, you still require the assistance of curbside services, we are completely willing to accomadate that. Just give us a call and we will come out to you.
Also, we now have a way to keep track of leashes and collars. If you would like, you can leave your pet’s leash and collar with us and we can give them back to you at pick up.
If you have any questions or concerns just give us a call!

Just a little reminder we are still at the old location for today and tomorrow (Thursday Feb 29th) and then we will be closed Friday and Saturday March 1st and 2nd to move to the new location! Hi friends! We have a very exciting announcement! The Urban Paw will be moving! Don’t worry though, we are only moving less than 1 mile down the road and we will remain on prairie view road! Our projected opening dates are either March 1st or April 1st. We will keep you posted as we progress with work on the new building!

Happy Thanksgiving from your favorite groomers! We had so much fun doing arts and crafts with your pups over the last few days. Holidays are always a very busy time for groomers but we enjoy every minute of it. We hope all of our clients and their pets enjoy today and get to take a little break. We will be closed today through Monday in order to give our groomers a much needed break. We come back Tuesday ready to get your pets pretty for the next holiday! Decembers schedule is filling up quick so don’t forget to get your appointments scheduled soon! Have a happy happy turkey day everyone! 🦃

We had a very Happy Halloween at The Urban Paw! We took cute pictures of the dogs who were willing to do a photo shoot 😂 and we also handed out some homemade halloween dog treats!

Daisy did such a great job for her first groom with us! She was such a sweetheart and so still for Paige during her entire color process! We were all so proud of her and look at these amazing results!!

In September, your favorite groomers took a trip to a cabin in the woods. We visited Johnson Shut Ins, Elephant Rock Park, and the Onagonda Caves. We took a much needed break and had so much fun!
Since then we have been back at it in full swing. Our books have been pretty full since we got back but we do have a few openings left in October. Give us a call soon if you need to get your pups in this month! Thanks for always supporting us! We love our clients and are happy to be back doing what we love! ♥️

Our a/c unit went down today. As a result, our computer overheated and we are currently unable to get any clients phone numbers to contact them. As of right now we are going to be closed tomorrow, Friday the 25th. Most likely, we will be closed Saturday as well but we will keep everyone as updated as possible.
