It is a busy time for our small, 3 person business as Kellsey and Jaxin are both getting married next spring and both have wedding events this weekend. We will be closing the store early on Wednesday and will re-open on Monday the 19th. Training, boarding and daycare will also be closed Thursday-Monday.

We have two new kinds of dog food available in the store: Acana Limited Ingredient Diet and Acana Light & Fit Recipe.

We see so many dogs who are overweight and having other health issues because of it. Switching food and feeding less is often the easiest solution and can have such a positive impact on your dog's health.

We also see many dogs with allergies/sensitivities and we recommend to try a limited ingredient diet to see what they could be having issues with. Lamb is great starting protein because not many dogs are allergic to it and it is a high quality protein.

❗Pharmaceutical flea and tick preventatives can cause neurological issues in pets.❗ Isoxazoline products have been associated with neurologic adverse reactions, including muscle tremors, ataxia, and seizures in some dogs and cats. The products in the isoxazoline class are many that all of us are familiar with: Bravecto, Credelio, Nexguard, Simparica and Revolution Plus. We have personally seen numerous clients be affected by these products. If you're using these products PLEASE consider whether is it worth it. We have herbal alternatives in our store and we personally use them on our own dogs!

Why is the quality of your dog's food so important? Here's an example from Mia & Reggie.

"When we adopted Reggie he had so much dandruff and we could tell his skin did not feel good. He was also losing weight. There were a few factors that contributed to this of course but we noticed a huge difference when we switched his food to a higher quality kind. His dandruff cleared up almost immediately and he seemed to be less itchy. He also started gaining weight quickly. We currently feed Farmina Ancestral Grains Lamb and Blueberry and also use Grizzly Algal Oil."
