EDIT: Bandit made it home! Thank you for looking!

Friends in Plattsburg- please please be on the lookout for Bandit. His owner is very worried about him. He got out tonight.

They are driving around looking for him. Please message 816-592-1441 if you have any sightings. Check your cameras too. Thank you!

He lives on Maple an 6th. Last sighting was on Clay around 9:30-10 pm

Sweet Cookie Sue
She'll do anything for a treat and will give you her paw to get one!

She has come a LONG way in the trust department, when she first came to us, skittish was an understatement.
Now, she runs right for the door, sits, and waits for our volunteers to slip on that lead so she can go out and explore.

We continue working with her on her mannerisms with other dogs, but she's a feisty one; she prefers to be the ALPHA and will let the boys in the pound know their place.

Get her by herself and away from the noise those boys make and she's a great walking/running companion.

Happy Thanksgiving from Bender, Duchess, Bear, Cookie, Buddy and Duke!

Our volunteers agreed the pups can't be left out of Thanksgiving dinner, so they prepared some rotisserie chicken, frozen peas, frozen green beans, and of course sweet potatoes!!

Our hearts break with her. She is an angel of a dog. Appx. 6 years old and ready to be loved forever.

Step 1: Lure a human into your kennel with tail wags and "sad eyes" ... 🥹

Step 2: Get said human to sit in the kennel with you either on the floor or on your bed ... 🛏️

Step 3: Turn around like you are walking away and then surprise them with a "trust fall" into their lap ...

Step 4: Expose the belly and let the scratches commence !!!

**Can take place on a sofa, in the warm grass, in the car, or anywhere belly scratches are needed.

As most of you know, we are running a full house and we are looking for some support to help replenish the cabinets for the winter. With 4 large boys, and 2 healthy girls, they do go thru a LOT of food and treats.

In January 2019 Plattsburg Pound Puppies was created and has served Plattsburg and Clinton County by caring for stray, abandoned, and lost dogs.

Our mission is to prevent the abandonment of dogs in the City of Plattsburg by accepting surrendered dogs from anywhere within Clinton County with the intent of re-homing these dogs at no taxpayer cost through volunteers operating the shelter supported by the City of Plattsburg.
