Ugh....when it rains it pours. Our boy is doing pretty good but I just noticed that a part of his incision is red and swollen so we have to keep an eye on that.

We on the other hand....well, not so good. Way too much snow. We got ourselves dug out at home then Jaysons plow truck broke! Crazy snow. He went to shovel a path so we can get into the door at daycare but found out that it is much worse than we thought. The wind keeps blowing all the snow back onto the side walk which we can clean up by plowing all the snow out so it can't blow in. Simple right?

Well. Not so. Inside the fence is a whole different world! There is over 3 ft. of snow in there that has to be removed manually (cant use a snow blower on the artificial grass) after we climb a latter and jump in as it is so deep that we cannot open the doors to get outside!! So needless to say the dogs won't have access to the outside yard either.

All this being said it is going to take a couple days to dig out so we decided to reopen on Monday February 24th. It will give us a few days to clean up the mess down there and keep an eye on our pup a few more days.

We miss all the pups and will see you in a few days!

Thank you 😊!

EDIT: It's inoperable. Doc said it's in a place that is very rare to have one there. Still don't know if it's cancer or not. They don't dare to do a biopsy but they are going to do a needle aspirate to see if they can find anything out that way. So now they are going to sew him back up and let us know what is next I guess.....

And we wait and pray!

Oh! I found a few more! 😆

Hi everybody!

As most of you know, our dog has a tumor/cyst on his liver. The second opinion was slightly different from the original diagnosis. Dr. Schultz said that it is almost impossible to tell what kind of tumor it is and if it can be removed by looking at pictures. So, he gave us a couple options. We can either wait and see if it gets any bigger by measuring it again in a few months. Which the bigger it gets the harder it will be to remove plus our boy isn't getting any younger. It is also staring to compress his stomach and vena cava. Second option is to go ahead with surgery while he is still younger and stronger. The doc said he can go in and see what he is dealing with and if he can he will remove the one lobe which has the tumor or cyst. If not, then he will close him up and we can enjoy what time we have left with him. It was definitely a hard decision to make but we decided to go ahead with the surgery. And to be completely honest it was a very difficult decision to make. What if we made the wrong decision!? What if the decision we made could save his life? I just don't know but it felt like that was the decision we had to make.

So, he is scheduled for surgery next Wednesday the 12th. And we will be closed for a week to care for him at home. I really am sorry if this closure causes you any inconvenience. I do realize we have been closed quite a bit lately and hopefully everything goes good and we can get back on a normal schedule.

Again, thank you all for understanding and all the prayers you've been sending our way. They are greatly appreciated!
