I’ve received many messages regarding dog training and what I’m going to school for so I thought I’d put it all in one post for everyone!

I am currently in my last year at SUNY Cobleskill, where I’m majoring in Canine Training and Management. My goal is to be a service dog trainer and focus on training service dogs for all different needs from diabetic alert, seizure alert, autism, mobility, psychiatric etc. I am going to be finishing my degree a year early in May and then will be doing my internship over the summer. I have a gained so much knowledge during my 3 years of college and I am really looking forward to seeing where it takes me in the next few years!

So far I have worked with my clients on anything from basic obedience, puppy training, tricks and even some behavior management within the home. If anyone has any questions feel free to send me a message and I’d be happy to answer them🙂

As the summer comes to an end and Hadley and I get ready to head back to college tomorrow morning, I wanted to thank everyone for all of the support! This was my busiest summer by far and I absolutely LOVED every second of it! 7 years ago when I started walking dogs on my street and watching my neighbors pets I never would’ve thought it would turn into something like this! I appreciate anyone who has ever shared my page, recommended me to friends and family and especially all of my amazing clients who trusted me with their babies💗🐾

If you have a dog who doesn’t like getting their nails clipped and it becomes super stressful for both of you I highly recommend trying out a scratch board!! You can find these on Amazon make one at home with a piece of sand paper and a board. Here is Hadley, demonstrating her “scratch” command on a homemade scratch board! Not only will it help to keep your dogs nails filed down without the stress of having to cut their nails, but teaching them how to use it is a great training and bonding opportunity for you and your pup! Even if your dog is good about letting you cut their nails like Hadley here, you can use this to keep them filed in between. If anyone would like to see how to train them to scratch on command I can make a video on how to do that as well🙂
