I've spent a few hours with this cutie, Ryder today, he's up for adoption through the Happy Paws rescue here in Plattsmouth. He is a total lovebug, wanting all the cuddles and to give kisses. He loves all people and all other dogs he's met so far. He's got a lot of energy, but is only about 5 1/2 months old. He even likes being held like a baby lol. Happy Paws rescue here in Plattsmouth is doing a Christmas in July event where you can meet some of the adoptable dogs! I'll be there to help out. If you or anyone you know is looking to adopt a dog or cat, this is a great time to come down and ask questions and meets some dogs. :) Also Happy Independence Day! Hello my wonderful clients, I'm curious if there would be a demand for a new pet store in Plattsmouth? Pet supplies, some smaller pets, fish, and offering the small dog grooming services I currently do (still would be one on one, no kennels unless they had to hang out long term) eventually expanding to all size dog grooming when/if there was demand and I could find a groomer to hire since I physically can't groom dogs larger than 25lbs. I also went to college for veterinary technology plus have owned many species of pets, so I have a vast knowledge of many species' care. The pet store would be tailored to those here in town. What kind of pets do you have? Do you need cages, feeder insects/animals, small animal food, etc? What kind of pets would you want to buy?

Also, I would be wanting to work with local shelters and rescues, possibly seeing if I could essentially foster some of the smaller animals at my shop so they can be seen and adopted. That would mean animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, small birds, and potentially a dog or cat here and there, all coming from shelters. I would also be keeping updated photos of pets for adoption up on the walls. If a rescue wanted to bring in a dog or cat to hang out for the day, that'd be great too, let's get those homeless pets seen!

I'm also artistic and enjoy designing (and have a degree in graphic design) and would be putting some pet-related designs on apparel, bags, magnets, and such if that would be of interest. (I will not be printing these products, just making the designs and having them printed somewhere) This could possibly allow for custom designs as well.

So, what do you all think, do you want a new pet store and if so what do you want it to supply? :D

Town & Country Humane Society in Papillion could use some help! They do such great work and I also used to work there with some of the current employees. Towels, blankets, water, and bleach are all requested, but I also happen to know that some of the employees really enjoy Scooter's coffee so I imagine gift card donations for them would also be appreciated.

Staff and volunteers at a Papillion animal shelter put out a call for help on social media after water pipes freeze.

Meet Jasmine from Texas! She is a very sweet Aussie mix. At 1-1.5 yrs she weighs in around 47 pounds but she does not look it. Fine with kids and other dogs, said not to chase the cats at the Texas shelter. Happy Paws will pay for her spay and make sure she is up to date on vaccines.
