This may just look like a snuggle picture but it actually shows some great progress. My husband used to throw pillows when hati was young. As a result, he touched a pillow she would run from the room. Today she let him pick up a pillow and drop it on top of her without any signs of distress! Desensitizing can make you and your dogs lives more comfortable.

I got to watch this cutie pie, Pepper, the last few days. She is so proper and fiery. I love how mellow she is, snuggly, and yet quick to go into a play bow for the zoomies. .roberts21

Happy belated Independence Day America. Found ways to relax while fire works went off. hati would not go outside after about 7.

Never too old to introduce them to new things. This was after scout helped us move someone. There was lots of noises and new people. She did great. Then hati getting to play with a new toy with new little people.

I was walking iroh and decided to work on stay while walking behind and away from him, then back. He did so well! 🐶

Start of leash training. A lot of the time the start of it is to simply get them used to the lead being attached to them with no corrections from the leash.

We worked on sitting down to ask me for something instead of jumping, bitting, and scratching to get what he wants. While also consistently working on potty training. We also have been working on walking with a leash while staying by me. Arko also has been being socialized to people and children, as well as dogs that I know are vaccinated. It’s been a long two days but so rewarding.

We went to the dog park on Saturday. It was really busy. Iroh and hati did very well. We even got to see miss Ruby and quite a few dogs we’d never met before.

Never to late to teach dogs how to behave in new situations. This is just a glimpse of stroller walking and baby etiquette.

Iroh likes soft things... so what do you do? You encourage him to not tear them apart. If he is soft to the soft things he can use them. This is a great example. He picked up the orca from the back room, carried it to the living room, placed it where he wanted and then laid on top of it.

Teaching your dog to be comfortable when you pick up their hips, put your feet under them, pick up their jowls to look at their teeth, and other odd things could be life saving when you least expect it.
