Amy DeRiemacker is part of an incredible husband and wife team that runs Kinner Kennels and is now a nominee for The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Awards.
Amy was born to work with animals and started pet sitting from a young age. Anyone who knew her referred to her as an animal whisperer of sorts. She went to Western for her degree in animal science and during her time in school, a neighbor named Gary offered to let her use one of his buildings to try out the idea of opening a kennel service. With the help of her family, this is exactly how her business began and flourished.
Their resume is extensive at this point. Kinner Kennels has expanded and now offers doggie daycare services as well. In addition, they own one of only 12 indoor diving facilities in the United States for dogs. Amy has been involved in Red Ribbon Trails, which is where she trained therapy dogs and after watching her work with her gorgeous pup named Koda in my studio, you can tell she was born for this. What an incredible gift she has. Amy is so humble, family oriented, and an incredibly hard worker. It was truly amazing to watch her do what she does best!
If you have a pup of your own and need a place to board them, I cannot recommend Kinner enough! Cheers to the DeRiemacker's and congratulations on your nomination. It is truly so well deserved!
