I can’t believe this year marks our 18th year in business. I always post our anniversary around Memorial Day weekend. I never could have imagined the support that we have had in growing our “baby” into adulthood. As the years have passed, I find myself reminiscing about the first five years of business at what is now known as Tricia’s Kennel location. Our entire family owes that first kennel location more gratitude than we could ever repay. Perhaps it was the owner of the property (at that time), Gary Martin, to whom we owe most of the thank-you. He saw the fire in me to start our kennel and provided more than just the property. The days were filled with excitement, passion, and drive for the future. There was no stopping the tide that kept rolling us into our location next to our home. Our home kennel location has been our foundation for the past 13 years.

Our clients have witnessed so many things over the years. A dream come true unfolded before our eyes. We were able to grow our business, start a family (which had a lot of prayers and support from our clients), build a home, and bring Drew in as the full-time operator of the boarding side. Now, as I spend my days at our newest 97 location, we can watch our children grow up finding that same passion for this life that we have.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to take the time to thank all of our clients and family who have helped make this dream come true. Now we can focus onward to what the next years have in store for Kinner Kennels

Everyone please keep be on the lookout for a lost neighbor of 97s dog. They are new to the area and it is a black with white English bulldog. She is chipped. I have the owners contact information. They live on PEC road.

‘Twas the morning of Christmas, and all through Kinner Kennels
All of the pups are stirring, but not the attic mouse.
The dog bowls were placed by each run with care just as Santa Paws carefully left them there.
The dogs, they all wrestled outside in the fresh mud,
While salivations of those new chew toys and beggin’ strips danced in their heads.
When over in the food room arose such a clatter,
Each of our guests wagged their nails and knew it was no matter.
Up on all fours each raised like a flash,
Knocked over their water and needed more
And what to their sleepy wondering pup eyes should appear
But a food cart full of fresh food and jolly old elf who was tired himself
They knew in a moment it must be Santa Clause himself
With a shuffle of his work boots and flurry of fresh water,
He pushed down the food sleigh with all of its loot.
All of the dogs stood there, so regal and proud,
Guarding their home away from home with their barks oh so loud.
Santa Clause showed no fear, and he called them by name. Merry Christmas morning to all and now let all dogs eat! Are you hungry Annie, Arya, Alex, Rose and Rey, Chip, Cookie, Cocoa, Bingo, Charlee, Rocky and Rizzo, Luna, Teddy, Sophie, Sadie, Murphy, Josie, Elvis and Ellie, Lincoln and Willie, Annie and Griffin, Brodie, Blue, Atlas and Nymeria, Ramona and Bartholomew, Larry, Bailey, Freya, Riggs and Kora, Teddy and last but not least, that sweet little Charlie!
He knew in his heart they were gentle and tame.
He brought out each food cup, and began checking it twice.
“My friends, I see that all you’re all hungry and played extra nice
“I have on my cart fresh food for all who were nice
Please tell me, you puppies, are you ready to eat?.”
The dogs talked to each other with each their own unique look
And then turned back to Santa with drool on their chin.
“We have all rolled in mud and chewed up a few socks,
So please dear Santa dont skip our feeding and forgive us once more.
But for Christmas, dear Santa, we have but one request:
That all dogs who arent here at this kennel this morn’, stay here before long
Santa paused for a moment to gather his wits.
“I will talk to their owners when they call to say, do you have availability over next Christmas, please say our dogs can stay!
Santa Clause then ventured to say
“Eat up your food now each of you pups, and dont spill your water before the next bucket fill up
He patted each of them and gave out a few bones as he pushed the cart through.
In an instant, Santa disappeared with a p**f,
But they heard him say as he walked back to the house
Its time to wake up you kiddos for Santa was here!
And each pup staying here last tonight heard him exclaim as he walked out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to our Clients and their families, we appreciate you each day!”

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Kinner Kennels
Not a creature was stirring, not even the attic mouse.
The dog bowls were set by each run with care
In hopes that Santa Paws soon would be there.
The dogs, they were nestled all snug in their runs,
While visions of chewy toys and beggin’ strips danced in their heads.
When out in the play yard there arose such a clatter,
Each of our guests sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
Off to the yard each flew like a flash,
Knocked over their water then threw open the door
The moon on the crest of their daily yard of fun
Gave a luster of midday to each pup below.
And what to their wondering pup eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh and eight young sled dogs
With a little old lab so lively and quick,
They knew in a moment it must be Santa Paws.
With a sputter of mud and flurry of slobber,
He slid down the sleigh with all of his loot.
All of the dogs stood there, so regal and proud,
Guarding their home away from home with their barks oh so loud.
Santa Paws showed no fear, and he called them by name. Merry Christmas Annie, Arya, Alex, Rose and Rey, Chip, Cookie, Cocoa, Bingo, Charlee, Rocky and Rizzo, Luna, Teddy, Sophie, Sadie, Murphy, Josie, Elvis and Ellie, Lincoln and Willie, Annie and Griffin, Brodie, Blue, Atlas and Nymeria, Ramona and Bartholomew, Larry, Bailey, Freya, Riggs and Kora, Teddy and last but not least, that sweet little Charlie!
He knew in his heart they were gentle and tame.
He brought out his list, began checking it twice.
“My friends, I see that all year you’ve been listening and extra nice
“I have in my bag new toys from those who were nice
Please tell me, you puppies, what you’re hoping I brought.”
The dogs talked to each other with each their own unique look
And then turned back to Santa Paws with tears in their eyes.
“We have all rolled in mud and chewed up a few socks,
So please dear Santa Paws forgive us once more.
But for Christmas, dear Santa, we have but one request:
That all dogs book their stay at this kennel before too long
Santa Paws paused for a moment to gather his wits.
“I will talk to the owners and see what they say”
“This is the best place for all dogs to stay.”
Santa Paws then ventured to say
“Return to your kennels each of you pups, and fall back asleep before the sun does come up”
He patted each of them and gave out a few bones
Then barked at his sleigh pulling team
In an instant, Santa Paws disappeared with a p**f,
But they heard him bark loudly out there in that yard
He jumped back in his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And off he then flew like the down on a thistle.
And each pup staying here tonight heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to All, and to Dogs a Good Night!
