Last week we received one of those messages that we dread. This news was difficult for us, which is why it has taken us some time to come up with the right words to say. As we approach our 20th year, we do not have any original pups that remain in our care, but we have original clients who have entrusted more than one of their pets to us. Chuck was the third dog in the Barger family to board with us and frequently visit our daycare. His loveable personality made him a favorite. His quirky shadow chasing during daycare always kept us entertained and smiling. He was always up in front to participate in our movie days and other fun activities.
Chuck's mom came in this morning to donate some of his Bark box toys for his friends to play with. His name tag will always stay on our fridge as a reminder of the friend we lost and his photo will always remain a part of our boarding facility lobby, hanging for everyone to see the smile that showed upon his face when he came to play.
Rest easy our faithful and loving companion, Chuck. Nine years was not long enough.

What a privilege it was to have Governor Jim Edgar as a client of ours with his first golden doodle Buddy, and most recently Abe with his sidekick Tillie. A welcoming smile, a firm handshake and gratitude for what we do. We will miss him! Thank you Governor Edgar and for being a part of our business!h

Rollo gives two ears up for the wonderful, breezy, fall-like temps! Fingers crossed these nice temps stick around for a while.

Seeing our kids actively wanting to help around the kennel is the best feeling in the whole world. As the years pass by, seeing the next generation wanting to take charge is all the reason “why” that we need. Rocky enjoyed his deluxe spa treatment.
