To keep our doors open and maintain the care you trust, we must adjust pricing. Business costs have risen almost 40% since some client’s last pricing update and our rates no longer reflect the cost of doing business, Kelsey’s expertise and the care we provide.

Kelsey will reach out with updates soon. We have held off on major price adjustments for a few years. After meeting with a business advisor we are confident it is a fair adjustment.

Hey y’all! The Dog Studio will be closed Friday January 10 due to the forecasted weather!

We truly appreciate the clients that worked with us in consolidating today and tomorrow so we could prepare to close if needed. ❄️

Once we see what happens Friday, we will assess and reach out to the Saturday appointments to confirm if we intend to stay closed throughout the weekend.

We are thankful for a wonderful November with all of you! I hope y’all have a joyful Thanksgiving! We will be closed until December 4th for our quarterly deep clean and getting ready for CHRISTMAS! 🎄

Our books are currently still closed for new clients and out of routine appointments. We have a waitlist on our website for inquiries.

Thank you for a wonderful September! I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your flexibility in my traveling schedule!

We are working at full capacity when I’m not traveling speaking to fellow groomers. Because of this business I’ve been able to travel to Continued Education events. What started as a passion project to become the best groomer I could be, obtaining several certifications and learning about products/equipment to make my furry client’s experience more joyful turned into following a bigger dream of mine.

As a child, I enjoyed public speaking and always thought I would be an educator or a talk-show host bringing happy information to people. It’s funny how life brings you a piece of you out in an unknown way. Along my journey I realized I wanted to help fellow groomers with my voice and share easy to digest knowledge and support in their own journeys.

I was just awarded Seminar Speaker of the Year for my industry. A huge accomplishment I never dreamt I’d achieve. I have embarked on many opportunities and although I’m traveling a lot and in meetings or following other projects, I always come home to groom a very full book of lovely pets that have become a part of my heart and an amazing assistant Carrie that helps me stay sane in the juggle.

I appreciate all of you for understanding when I take “off” and working with me. I always get anxious moving schedules around but you all are so supportive.

Over the course of time after realizing employing groomers wasn’t for me, I’ve had to slim down the schedule, release clients, say I’m overbooked and at max capacity for those that are not on a current schedule. I feel terrible when I can’t accommodate but I already stretch my day out the best that I can. Financially, physically and emotionally. I realize sometimes this salon isn’t the most convenient for everyone but it works for the majority. We’ve been consistently awarded Best of Cheatham County for 7 years and I intend to give my clients that! It’s been a very hard year for this small business and I just want to say to thank you so much for supporting me over the years!

As we head into the 2024 holiday season we are projecting current routines to overfill the book. So we will continue to keep our books closed for out of routine grooms and new clients so we can accommodate our current clients. We have a waitlist at dogstudiogrooming.com and happy to refer you to another salon we trust if we can’t personally accommodate.

In 2025 I am working on changes that’ll make things more organized with the schedule. I’ll update y’all when it’s ready!

Happy 2024 🥳 I wanted to take a moment to express my immense gratitude to all of our clients! This year will mark my 19th year as a Professional Pet Groomer and 8th year in business. I have learned so much along the way, but mostly I have been shown so much love and appreciation by you guys. There are times this business isn’t easy, and I’ve met many business challenges along the way. The love and support you’ve shown is my reason for continuing even when times are hard. Your pets are a piece of my heart and I’m so grateful you allow me and my team to take care of their grooming needs. I’ve spent nearly every moment the last 8 years studying how to offer the best care to the pets we see. Countless hours studying coat care, new and old styles, animal behavior and safety. The past 3 years I’ve taken my knowledge across the world and I appreciate you guys here at home working with our schedule when I travel to teach. I am excited to see you guys again in 2024 and continue to offer your pets my best grooming service with love and care. Each of their personalities make my heart melt. Did you know? Most dogs don’t like their feet/legs manipulated. It could be for many reasons. 1. It can be painful. Their structure may put weight distribution in weird places. 2. They may be protective. Maybe something hurt before? Maybe it’s in their instincts to protect their front legs. 3. They simply don’t like being controlled. That’s okay we can work around that with sucking up, adapting or distractions. 4. Their nails have been too long for awhile and they have sore feet. Active dogs that walk a lot can also have sore feet and nail care is imperative for performance. 5. They aren’t used to it. Dogs learn with routine. 6. The vibe is off. That day just isn’t their day. Whatever the reason may be, we promise to get the nails as short as they can get, with kindness, love and respect to your pet. We recommend nails to be done every 7-10 days to get them on track to being the shortest possible, sometimes nails grow too much and we can only clip to the vein, once their nails are well kept we recommend every 14-21 days for maintenance. We offer nail only appointments to our clients as well as “in between” bath packages. 💖
