I wanted to make a post about dog walking. While I love walking everyone’s dogs when they stay with me, moving forward into the winter , if your dog is not properly leash trained I will no longer be taking those dogs for long walks/hikes. It has become really hard for me to walk some very strong dogs that pull and it gets to be a big liability for me especially with ice around the corner. I work alone and if I get hurt there is no backup. I also walk a lot with a 2 year old on my back. I encourage everyone to work on leash training at home or introduce an E-collar and completely remove a leash. There are also gentle leaders, special harnesses and other strategies to help eliminate pulling. That being said, these dogs will always have lots of play yard free time to play fetch and lounge and will never be stuck in a kennel all day. I hope everyone understands and thank you to all my awesome customers and dog friends who keep my kennels full almost 7 days a week 🫶🏼💕
