Our new grooming salon looks ✨ FABULOUS ✨ and we’re so excited for all our clients to see it!

💜 Soft opening is April 1st and our open house/ribbon cutting is April 8th from 12-7 PM.

📣 Grooming services previously offered by Max’s Pack and Bookah’s Boutique are now under The Downtown Dog LLC. Emily is continuing her dog walking and pet sitting under Max’s Pack, now the mobile pet care division of The Downtown Dog LLC.

🎉Renovations have been going excellent and we are so excited for you all to see the new salon! 🎉

Make sure you mark your calendars 🗓️ for April 8th at 1:00 for our official grand opening and ribbon cutting.

You don't have to be an existing client to stop on down and see the new luxury grooming salon! 💜 We will be open to the public from 12:00-7:00.

🛁 We’re booking appointments for NEW bath dogs! This includes short haired or doubled coated dogs of any size, with light trimming if requested. We are continuing to accept new dogs for nail trim visits as well. 🐾
📣 Please note we are still not able to accommodate any new dogs for full-body trims at this time.
😍 We’re looking forward to meeting some new furry friends!

Reposting from Bookah's Boutique and Salon LLC because this is so important. A sign of a great pet professional is being able to identify and respect an animal’s fear/anxiety/stress threshold. Saying “let’s try this another day”, however inconvenient at the time, can set a pet up for a lifetime of positive grooming and/or veterinary appointments.

The pet professionals in your life should always be advocating for your animals. ❤️

Let's get real for a second.

The world often paints a picture that dogs who live together are best friends and do everything together.

This is just not true. Many many many multidog household utilize management in different situations to allow dogs personal space to enjoy things such as:

- feeding time
- chew time
- play time
- attention time

This. Is. Normal.

Just because someone utilizes management, doesn't mean their dogs don't enjoy each other's company or have fun together. It just means that there are certain activities that they prefer to do on their own.

And I will tell you firsthand that implementing safe space zones and time apart can be so beneficial to the relationship between two dogs.

Think about it-- do you enjoy doing every single activity that you do at home with your spouse, family, or sibling RIGHT there? I don't think so.

So let's normalize management between dogs who live together!!

Love this informative video! Dogs who see or hear their owners before the groom is complete become quite difficult to work on 🐾 This is why I give an estimated pickup time on my appointment cards (so you can plan your day out if needed), but also say that I will give a 15 minute “heads up text/call” as I’m finishing them up. We work with live animals who have bad hair days or just bad days in general and appointments can run a little longer than expected ❤️
