Staff member Kristina Striston says SEBASTIAN is "very nervous and tends to hiss when his door is opened, but he’s a gentle soul and will quickly melt into a puddle of purrs once those head scratches get started!!"

Staff member Sammy sent this brief video of KARA and suggests that (unlike some of us) Kara was happy to see snow. Kara has been with us for over a year. Her bio explains what a good home for her would look like. Here it is -
Kara (25272) is looking for a special person to be her best friend. If you are an adult female who is looking for someone to hang out with, Kara would be your girl. She really loves having someone to spend her day with. Kara has lots of energy when she is outside exploring but is a very calm couch potato inside. Kara would prefer to be the only pet. Kara loves picking her favorite toys out of her toy box. She enjoys playing with balls and squeaky toys, going for walks and playing in her kiddie pool. Kara is 3 years old, weighs 64#, is house trained, spayed, micro chipped, current on her vaccines and heart worm negative. Her adoption fee is $150+tax. If you are interested in meeting Kara please fill out a dog application on our website. The approved adopter will be notified within three days for an appointment.

UPDATE Cacao has moved to Starry Night Cat Cafe :)
CACAO arrived to our shelter on 6/10/24, meaning she has been looking for a home for over three months! This sweetheart has not received much attention and the staff here would like to change that.
Cacao is truly a good girl and will make a wonderful companion. She wasn’t always a one-eyed beauty; unfortunately she came into our shelter with a ruptured eye. This injury was not repairable and our vet team had to make the difficult decision to remove her eye. Cacao is feeling much better now and (we’re sure) thanks our team for helping her in her time of need.
Cacao has overcome great challenges in her time here and doesn’t let any of this slow her down. She is fairly reserved and shy but has begun opening up to our staff and volunteers. We know she will continue to grow and flourish in a home filled with patience and love. She’s already such a sweet little lady and simply needs time to gain confidence in a new environment.
Cacao was found as an injured stray so we are unsure on her background with other household pets. Our adoption coordinator will be happy to go over how best to introduce Cacao to new family members.
If you think you are Cacao’s soft place to land, please fill out an online cat application. Our adoption applications are on our website. You can find links ▶ in the comments. Cacao's adoption fee is $55.00 + tax. A second cat going to the same home is NO CHARGE! Adoption staff will contact the approved applicant.
Just want to remind you that KARA is still looking for a home. If you watch the video you will see that she DOES leave Mandi's lap, but only for long enough to grab her toy and bring it to Mandi <3

A bit earlier today, we introduced AGGY!
Staff member Rhyan Nemzoff added a video under that post, and we thought the video deserved its own post :)
Aggy is a special needs dog. We are sharing her bio here to help people figure out whether there is a place in their home and heart for her.
PLEASE NOTE the Adoption Team asks that you contact them BEFORE FILLING OUT an adoption application. Their contact info is EMAIL [email protected] PHONE 715-344-6012 ext. 308
Here is Aggy's bio "Aggy is a 7 month old partially deaf/ and mostly blind female Australian Shepherd mix. She was found as a stray! Aggy is a sweet dog who loves people. She can hear a little and see very little. Aggy has a lot of puppy energy and likes to go for walks and loves her squeaky toys. Aggy will need an adult home where someone is able to work with her and teach her how to navigate her day. She would prefer a home without cats and young children. A fenced yard is best for her. Aggy weighs 30#, is spayed, has current vaccines and is micro chipped."
