Hey Friends! Hope everyone is having an amazing summer! I got some exciting news for everyone!! I am running not 1 but 2 deals right now!!

1st: Book one of our Puppy programs (new!) or FIT programs (5, 10, or 20 sessions) before the 4th of July and save 15% off your full package!

2nd: 2024 Summer refer a friend program! Happy Friday everyone!
I am helping someone to place a special needs dog! This boy needs a very special home! This is Maui! He is a 9 month old Rottweiler and he's super sweet! Maui had a pretty difficult start to life and due to it he will require someone who has time and patience to care for him. He came to his foster with 2 broken legs, broken ribs, and a broken tail. They paid for the surgeries he needed to fix his legs and have begun physical therapy with him. Now that he feels better he has been making up for all the time he missed engaging in puppy antics! He's a lot of fun but he must be restricted from having high impact activities while he continues to heal. Someone with a lot of time to entertain his brain and bring him to his follow up vet appointments and physical therapy appointments is ideal. He is not a fan of male dogs, he's great with female dogs! Due to his limitations high energy hard playing dogs may not be the best fit for him yet but he can play nicely with supervised interactions, this is merely to limit the risk of him hurting himself again. He has not been tested with cats, and they ask that there not be young kids only because he can accidently knock them over. He is not well coordinated as he is still learning to use his legs now that they are healing. When I say this boy is sweet as can be I mean it!! He loves to cuddle. He's a little mouthy sometimes but we have just started training. For more information please feel free to reach out and I can put you in contact with the foster. We will be VERY selective of who gets him to ensure he ends up in the best home possible for him.

Visited the shelter today! Working with this chow Kobe! We are working on building a relationship for now and we will move into some basic obedience. I also visited his new buddy Pacman! I'm super fortunate to have the opportunities I have. Feeling very grateful and excited about the future. Education and experience are key to continued success. Very grateful to be able to embark on another mentorship program under a well respected trainer I have grown to adore as well as other phenomenal trainers who've went through this program as well! I'm so looking forward to bringing the new concepts and applications into my business and help more dogs and people. Always striving to do and be better.

2024 is off to a great start! Mr. Rascal is a shelter puppy who we are working with on basic obedience and impulse control! He is a wild man (hence the tangled leash and blurry picture haha day 1 was fun and he didn't want to stop the game for a picture) at 6 months old he is true to his genetics and will need an owner who is very active and can keep up on his training consistently! Will let you all know when he is available for adoption if his foster mom doesn't foster fail him first haha. Isla is back for some brush up training and oh my! What a glow-up!! This little girl is a spit fire and she most definitely remembered me from her puppy foundations! Ellie & Jimmy are starting their off leash program this year as well! Super excited to work with these guys and those just finishing up as well as those about the start! I was not able to get pictures of everyone the past couple weeks but 2024 is shaping up nicely so far!!

Happy New Year from the Goldstead K-9 family!
It has been a very fun year helping people and dogs have better relationships and communication! Thank you to all of the dedicated owners and friends who have supported us in 2023! Looking forward to an exciting 2024. Here are pictures of some of the pups I was able to help this year! My new years resolution is to take more pictures and videos of the Goldstead crew and their progress because I'm pretty bad about remembering to haha.

We have a couple spots still left for training to start this month! Great time to get those Christmas puppies started off on the right foot!

Service Dog Bentley doing amazing work yesterday! High levels of distraction in a store he has never been in before! Narrow isles, busy time with lots of people of all ages, food everywhere, loud noises as employees continue to stock shelves. This boy and his owner are killing it! He proved his ability to perform his tasks under all levels of distractions.

Times are tough and life is often expensive as is owning pets in this day and age. In honor of this holiday season, I wanted to do something special for someone. I would like to donate one free 5 day private session training program to one family and one dog who desperately need help but may not be able to afford it. In the comments on this post please nominate someone who you feel deserves this offer and why (you can also private message if you want to stay anonymous or it is hard to talk about). You can nominate yourself if you wish. Nomonees will be narrowed down and finalists will be reached out to regarding specifics of their needs. Entries will be taken until Nov. 17th and a winner will be announced Thanksgiving Day.

This could be brush up training, foundation training, furthering skills ect. Behavioral issues may require more time to resolve depending on the issues. Nominees must be within Plymouth, Carver, Kingston, Middleboro, Wareham, Rochester, or Plympton.

Happy October! Spooky season is upon us! These boy aren't afraid of no ghosts! Proper and thoughtful socialization is crucial to building stable minded and solid dogs! Genetics play a roll as well but we must do what we can to set each dog up for success!
