UPDATE #3 ON RESCUED DOG AUGGIE THE BORDER COLLIE:
We are so sad to say that last night Auggie HAD A seizure so it is very possible he may have had some during the night and was not seen in the last two weeks we have had him. Auggie will need to go back to the vet ASAP now for a seizure screening, meds, etc. and this may result in the need for an MRI, which is pretty costly.
Of course this is going to up his medical care and costs more and we are really hoping for some donations to offset additional medical. We have only received $80.00 thus far and the medical and other needs have run fairly high for a budget and funds we just didn't have, but couldn't turn our backs on his urgent need for rescue. There were still a couple of unsent pledges out there, hopefully those will come in now.
PLEASE...consider helping Auggie as his needs are becoming emergent again. Links and Vet clinic are listed at the bottom of this post, under the first post. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

UPDATE #2
Auggie was at the vet last week and had a full blood panel, seizure screening, tests for tick diseases, dewormed. His lazy eye was also assessed as was his front leg where it had been broken.
Auggie was positive for Anaplasmosis, Lymes and Erlichosis. Thankfully he was not loaded with heartworm as we had expected he would.
He is being treated for the tick diseases and was prescribed phenobarbital for seizures in case he had a seizure and vet was closed.
We suspect and hope his seizures stem from the Anaplasmosis
and are not a condition he will have for life.
Auggie desperately needs a bath and grooming still.
We would love and very much appreciate any sponsors to help offset some medical, food and other expenses for him.
Once he is healthy enough for surgery, he will be neutered, chipped and 3 teeth in the back worked on.
We are a cat rescue but never turn our backs on any animal in need, whether we have the budget and funds or not and Auggie was in desperate need with no place to land, so we took him in.
Funds have been depleted from a 31 cat trapping project in Fergus Falls and still have 8 more cats to alter and fully vet, then place.
The hope is we can get him healthy enough, fully vetted and get some basic training done so this very sweet boy can find a forever home, not be tossed outdoors to live and essentially fend for himself and was 100% unvetted. 😪
He is a very happy boy to be indoors and is doing excellent and behaving well as an indoor pup.
PLEASE HELP BY SPONSORING AUGGIE.

UPDATE ON THE BORDER COLLIE RESCUED - AUGGIE:
Auggie (formerly Skippy) has been with us now since last Thursday and is doing very well. Thus far, he has not had any seizures his foster mom is aware of (can happen at night of course) which is a huge relief, as we were told he has bad seizures fairly regularly.
He is already mostly potty trained now too, something his former people did ever do.
Auggie is going to the vet tomorrow at 1:30 for a full exam, full blood panel, seizure screening, heartworm testing, etc. If he is healthy enough we will have him dewormed, chipped and vaccinated as well. Because the former owner never vetted him in his 1.5 years of life and had been primarily left out doors we are fairly confident he will have heartworm, worms of every variety, ear mites and so on.
We were told he also had previously suffered a broken leg from being hit by a car, so we will also have that fully checked and evaluated to ensure proper healing took place.
Auggie is just such a love, has a very sweet disposition and absolutely loving being inside and has Kipper, a Jack Russell mix as a playmate. They have bonded nicely and enjoy each other so much.
We also purchased an ID tag and a GPS collar for him... just in case. These guys do love to run! He also enjoys a new puppy bed.
We are expecting his medical care to be fairly high because of his history and he also needs to be neutered if safe to do so soon with his current health and seizures they said he suffered. Once he has good groceries, is dewormed, seizures evaluated, etc. we will move forward with neutering.
Taking Auggie on was of course, not in our budget, but we couldn't say no.
We are hoping for some sponsors who would like to help with some of the medical costs, food, etc.
If you want to help this sweet boy, you can do so by using Venmo or PayPal and donations can also be called in to his vet there in Fergus Falls.
The clinic is Fergus Falls Veterinary Clinic.
