DONATIONS/SPONSORS GREATLY NEEDED for Ollie:

We brought little Ollie, (our now 6 month old rescue from last August) in today to see Dr. Bakke as soon as we noticed some symptoms and signs that he had a bladder issue going and recognized he was experiencing pain.

This sweet munchkin has a few things going on including Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC), a very enlarged inflamed bladder, however, thankfully the x-ray confirms there are NO bladder stones. Along with that his pads have an infection going causing some open sores.

We are going home with antibiotics, bladder relaxant, pain meds, antibiotic foot spray along with some other feel better goodies.

Some of this looks to be brought on by stress and unfortunately does happen at times when a kitty comes into rescue, especially if there are other cats.

Of course this always concerns us and currently our rescue is full so there are lots of kitties making it hard to separate certain cats, but we make it work.

We don't cage our rescues unless absolutely necessary, we are foster based and also have a nicely set up cat room for fearfuls and ferals.

That includes the Directors house, where Ollie free roams the house with 9 other kitties currently.

He is scheduled for neuter, chipping and his 2nd vaccinations in 3 days.

Once healed we will search hard for a permanent, excellent, loving and fully vetted adopter as soon as possible because of the stress he is feeling. He truly is a special, kooky and loving little boy. 😻😻

Dr. Bakke is amazing and our rescue just loves and appreciates her so much.

We would love to round up some donations to help offset this vet visit and surgery so we can continue vet care for our rescues or emergency intakes.

Our Venmo is both on our page and in photos below. We appreciate our supporters more than we can say!

Today's bill will be shown in comments as soon as they finish up.

Meanwhile enjoy photos of the munchkin.πŸˆπŸ˜»πŸˆβ€β¬›

HEY FURRY LOVERS:
We've rescued a wee 3 week old Black & White Tux kitten, a week ago and he is a hungry little guy going thru our last reserves of Fox Valley Replacement milk and thankfully is doing well.

We were able to trap him the day the storm was to hit so thankfully he has no frostbite or other injuries. We have 3 more tiny hungry ones coming in today as well.

Along with the Tiny Tux Bean, there are also two 6 month old (likely siblings) also trapped at a project site (Mobile home park).

Our funds are very low, cats and kittens in dangerous or grave situations keep on coming in depleting stock and funds. We don't want to turn any away if we can't fund vetting and supplies.

We are in immediate need of som help from our wonderful supporters to help offset expenses and with some supplies and/or donations so we can fully vet the 6 month olds and vet the the tiny little Bean along with incoming kitties.

The 2 siblings Ollie & Sven are scheduled to go to MNSnap Dec.4th. The Tiny Bean is going in to Southview in Fargo Monday.

Our Amazon wish list link is: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2GEPXMPCSWG6O?ref_=wl_share

Fox Milk Replacement, kitten food, litter are the big needs. We'd like to get 1 to 2 fuzzy kitten heartbeat pillow as well.

Our Venmo is below in the photos.
(if you prefer PP or another payment platform, please let us know and we will give the information).

We are truly so grateful to our supporters and donors and thank you with our deepest gratitude, we can never thank you all enough!

Without you, we couldn't keep doing what we are doing. πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆ

Hello furry lovers.

We are putting out an urgent plea for help in getting critical material items needed for warming shelter builds or directly donating via our venmo.

With out you, we couldn't make near enough to meet even 1/3 of these urgent requests made for more Catty Shacks. Many for pregnant or new moms and babies.

All materials from our Amazon Wish List are shipped directly to us.

All monetary donations go directly to making Catty Shack Warming shelters, setting up feeding stations, etc. and spay/neuter when we have enough funds. We are 100% volunteer based.

We are up to 83 more requests, just in the last week alone.

That is a lot of building and materials and why we are reaching out.

URGENT: We are also looking for hard cooler donations. Must be L to XL and have working lids, no cracks unless small and does not affect durability or its integrity.

These shelters are provided to anyone who needs one and NEVER, EVER charge for the shelters..though, donations are always, always welcome so we can keep on keeping on for these kitties in need of help.

Below is our Venmo QR and our Amazon Wishlist and so grateful to all who are able to help with materials or via a Venmo donation both for materials and vetting.

Thank you so much to all of our Angels, our supporters and all animal lovers!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:

-BLUE AND MAX-

These two sweet boys are looking for a very special person(s) who will be fully committed to making them family for their lifetime, who will love them like a family member and promise to never let them outdoors or declaw them.

They are okay with other cats and have been around a small dog with no issues. Both kitties loved to play with the pup, Blue especially loves the pup and playing with her.

Both kitties are about 7-8 months old now, a very bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Both boys are fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, fully dewormed, chipped and were neutered 2 months ago, making them ready for their forever home.

MAX’S BACKGROUND: Max is a DSH Black on White Tuxedo with the most adorable Bambi eyes. Max was about 4-5 weeks old and was cruelly tossed outdoors in January, during -32Β° below zero temperatures to fend for himself with no food, water or any kind of shelter up in Battle Lake. It is a miracle he survived even a few hours out there.

Fortunately for Max, we immediately went over to locate and rescue him. Max was terrified, had frostbitten ears, feet and the end of his tail.

Warmth4Ferals immediately provided medical care for him.

Though somewhat emaciated at that time and his belly swollen with round worms, he has recovered nicely.

Luckily, he only lost the tips of his ears, some skin on his pads and lost a small portion of the tip of his tail. His ears are now rounded and go perfectly with his adorable Bambi eyes.

BLUE’S BACKGROUND: Blue is a stunning DSH, all white boy with gorgeous blue eyes. He was also about 4-5 weeks old and was more fortunate than Max. He found help, but not soon enough to save some of his ears and feet from frostbite.

He too was cruelly tossed outdoors also in January in sub-zero temps and found a week after Max, from the same area in Battle Lake.

A very kind lady brought him indoors right away and contacted us for rescue. We suspected he was Max’s littermate and of course took him in right away as well and they have been deeply bonded since.

FAST FORWARD TO PRESENT DAY: Both Blue and Max are now very healthy, very loving boys, both have the sweetest dispositions we’ve ever seen. Both love to snuggle with you but are still independent.

Max and Blue are the goofiest kitties that have kept us laughing and smiling.

These two nuggets would add so much love and laughter to your home.

Blue is so easy going, very laid back about changes, car rides, etc. He is also incredibly smart.

Blue is also very acrobatic and does the kookiest things.

He absolutely loves to play fetch with his fuzz balls. He loves to hug and kiss you too.

Max is a little character as well. He is more cautious about new things but acclimates easily. He loves to find his way under a blanket with you and nap. They spend a lot of time playing together, napping and playing some more.

Their only little naughties are they will try to get your food if eating. This is very common with felines who have had to fend for themselves, we have been working with them to stop that behavior and that is coming along nicely. It is very likely they ate whatever they could find both inside and when they were cast outside. They are learning no-no, but this can be bothersome to some pet parents.

They may scratch fabric but love a carpeted and cardboard scratcher. Keep in mind trimmed nails prevent damage. They are also learning kitchen tables and counters are also no-no’s. Neither have ever had any litterbox issues.

The two come with an array of their favorite toys, scratch boxes and kitty beds. They have been very spoiled, very loved with their foster.

We prefer their new home not to have small children.

If you think you and these two boys may have a love connection, we will ask for a pre-adoption questionnaire to be completed, then proceed with a meet and greet. We also do request a home check pre-adoption.

When everything is completed, we will personally bring you your new furry family members. We do include an adoption fee.

We are located both in Battle Lake and the Twin Cities (Golden Valley). They currently are up north but they can be brought to the cities for meet and greets.

READY FOR THEIR FOREVER ADOPTIVE HOME:
Blue and Max are about 6 months old now, are fully vetted including being chipped and are ready for adoption.

These two are the silliest, sweetest boys. They both have very sweet dispositions, get along great with other cats and have met two dogs and did fine. In fact, Blue spent a lot of time playing with my cousins pup, they both enjoyed it. Both use their litter boxes perfectly, but do a little furniture scratching we are working on. They haven't figured out the cardboard scratch boxes yet. Needless to say, as kittens go they have a lot of energy.

BACKGROUND: We were told in late December that there was a tiny kitten outside, so we went right over and got the little guy, now known as Max. Max had his ears, feet and tails frostbitten and doesn't show much at all on him.

1 week later we were told of another kitten also chucked outside and left to die so again, we went right over and got the 2nd kitten, now known as Blue. Blue had more frostbite that claimed a chunk of his ear, his feet and tail are fine now as well.

These two deserve the best home (as all do) and will only adopt together as they are very bonded.

If you'd like a full bio, message us and we are happy to send you one.

If you are interested in adopting these two indoor only kitties, please message us and an adoption app will be sent to you, phone interview, meet & greet, home check and final adoption with an adoption fee.

Please feel free to share these sweet boys!

We are located both in Plymouth/Cities and near Fargo.

UPDATE #3 ON RESCUED DOG AUGGIE THE BORDER COLLIE:
We are so sad to say that last night Auggie HAD A seizure so it is very possible he may have had some during the night and was not seen in the last two weeks we have had him. Auggie will need to go back to the vet ASAP now for a seizure screening, meds, etc. and this may result in the need for an MRI, which is pretty costly.

Of course this is going to up his medical care and costs more and we are really hoping for some donations to offset additional medical. We have only received $80.00 thus far and the medical and other needs have run fairly high for a budget and funds we just didn't have, but couldn't turn our backs on his urgent need for rescue. There were still a couple of unsent pledges out there, hopefully those will come in now.

PLEASE...consider helping Auggie as his needs are becoming emergent again. Links and Vet clinic are listed at the bottom of this post, under the first post. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
_______________________________________________________________________
UPDATE #2
Auggie was at the vet last week and had a full blood panel, seizure screening, tests for tick diseases, dewormed. His lazy eye was also assessed as was his front leg where it had been broken.

Auggie was positive for Anaplasmosis, Lymes and Erlichosis. Thankfully he was not loaded with heartworm as we had expected he would.

He is being treated for the tick diseases and was prescribed phenobarbital for seizures in case he had a seizure and vet was closed.

We suspect and hope his seizures stem from the Anaplasmosis
and are not a condition he will have for life.

Auggie desperately needs a bath and grooming still.

We would love and very much appreciate any sponsors to help offset some medical, food and other expenses for him.

Once he is healthy enough for surgery, he will be neutered, chipped and 3 teeth in the back worked on.

We are a cat rescue but never turn our backs on any animal in need, whether we have the budget and funds or not and Auggie was in desperate need with no place to land, so we took him in.

Funds have been depleted from a 31 cat trapping project in Fergus Falls and still have 8 more cats to alter and fully vet, then place.

The hope is we can get him healthy enough, fully vetted and get some basic training done so this very sweet boy can find a forever home, not be tossed outdoors to live and essentially fend for himself and was 100% unvetted. πŸ˜ͺ

He is a very happy boy to be indoors and is doing excellent and behaving well as an indoor pup.

PLEASE HELP BY SPONSORING AUGGIE.

Venmo and PP are noted at the bottom of this in original post.

UPDATE ON THE BORDER COLLIE RESCUED - AUGGIE:
Auggie (formerly Skippy) has been with us now since last Thursday and is doing very well. Thus far, he has not had any seizures his foster mom is aware of (can happen at night of course) which is a huge relief, as we were told he has bad seizures fairly regularly.

He is already mostly potty trained now too, something his former people did ever do.

Auggie is going to the vet tomorrow at 1:30 for a full exam, full blood panel, seizure screening, heartworm testing, etc. If he is healthy enough we will have him dewormed, chipped and vaccinated as well. Because the former owner never vetted him in his 1.5 years of life and had been primarily left out doors we are fairly confident he will have heartworm, worms of every variety, ear mites and so on.

We were told he also had previously suffered a broken leg from being hit by a car, so we will also have that fully checked and evaluated to ensure proper healing took place.

Auggie is just such a love, has a very sweet disposition and absolutely loving being inside and has Kipper, a Jack Russell mix as a playmate. They have bonded nicely and enjoy each other so much.

We also purchased an ID tag and a GPS collar for him... just in case. These guys do love to run! He also enjoys a new puppy bed.

We are expecting his medical care to be fairly high because of his history and he also needs to be neutered if safe to do so soon with his current health and seizures they said he suffered. Once he has good groceries, is dewormed, seizures evaluated, etc. we will move forward with neutering.

Taking Auggie on was of course, not in our budget, but we couldn't say no.

We are hoping for some sponsors who would like to help with some of the medical costs, food, etc.

If you want to help this sweet boy, you can do so by using Venmo or PayPal and donations can also be called in to his vet there in Fergus Falls.

The clinic is Fergus Falls Veterinary Clinic.

UPDATE ON ATHENA THE RESCUE FROM BROOKLYN PARK.

Many of you cared a great deal about this sweet little kitten that was chucked in Brooklyn Park.

Athena is doing very well now, is fully vetted and is a very happy little girl.

She had one last vet appointment to recheck her liver and this as the last one, was all clear. It is believed she had toxins in her causing the liver elevations (purposefully or not).

Athena has been in a wonderful foster home that very well may be her forever home. The family loves her and if she and their other cat are okay together (slowly being introduced) then she is home!

To think what her fate was and where she is now is so incredibly joyful!

We would like to thank Shannon Roop for being a hero, dropping everything and running over to save her from freezing temps, our wonderful foster, Deanna Grizzell for also scrambling to take her in until we found a long term foster. To Jill Goldstein with Pause 4 Paws who helped us get Athena in the next day to the vet, all of the wonderful people who donated towards Athena's medical care and to Jill again for finding her a wonderful foster who hopes to adopt her.

It truly takes a village! Without all of these components and all of the amazing people who played a critical role in saving this sweet little peanut, wonderful endings would never be possible for those we are able to rescue from certain death because of bad humans who discard these cats like they are nothing and have no value.

For Athena, her story and fate were forever changed the moment we were made aware Athena had been dumped off.

WELCOME TO RESCUE SWEET ZENA: Sponsors for Zena are needed.

Last night we were finally able to safely get this sweet, friendly old gal inside, warm, safe and fed.

She showed up about a week ago at a trapping site we are working in Fergus Falls. She moved right into the warming station. She cried day and night and just wasn't ready to come to us until last night.

She is in rough shape and will be going to our vet on Monday.

We really can use some funding for her medical. This is now the 5th cat that has shown up at the site, needing medical that we just aren't funded enough to cover much more. We still have 7 more that need to be fully vetted along with 3 spays and 4 neuters from this project.

She will require antibiotics, Snap Test and a blood panel will need to be done.

If and when she is healthy enough and given her age, she needs to be spayed, vax, chipped and she very clearly needs a dental with some extractions.

She was dehydrated, frostbitten, has various small wounds, too thin and has car grease on her.

She may have been another dump at the mobile home park, could have wandered and got lost or she hitched ride here, which does happen in the winter.

If you would like to help Zena, sponsorship for Zena's medical is the best way to help us keep on...keeping on rescuing cats like Zena, other cats and/or colonies in danger.

As always we are so grateful for all of our amazing supporters ❀

URGENT: We are putting out a call for funding.

We have 7 cats in desperate need of altering from our Fergus Falls Trapping Project or there will be kittens and/or they will become victims.

We've exhausted our existing funds on the 26 cats already fully vetted and placed.

Our vet will do 3 males for $300, not including vax. Females are $150.

Cats there are being poisoned and/or shot with BBs. I'm heartbroken,we found another deceased kitty last week, making this the 5th one (that we know of) since we started trapping in late October, so there is urgency.πŸ˜ͺ

We can't place them until they are fully vetted so we are reaching out to our community of rescuers and friends for help.

As always we rely solely on donations and appreciate all of our amazing supporters, we are so grateful for you!
