Yes, just me and my #1 sidekick tonight! A pair of pups come tomorrow for the weekend and another pair just for the day Sunday. No dogs next week as I scheduled the week off for myself! Timing couldn’t be better because this illness is still kicking my ass and I have some major catching up to do with diabetic shoes!

The Standish cats and kittens need your help! We are looking for volunteers to join our weekday morning cleaning team. Typical starting time is 8:15-8:30 am, but we can offer some flexibility; volunteers are usually in the shelter for 1-1½ hours. Duties include cage sanitizing, scooping and sanitizing litter boxes, straightening bedding and linens, floor sweeping and mopping. You will be closely supervised and assisted by the cats and kittens in the room. Schedules are typically one day per week, but can also be every other week, and even once a month. The pay is incomparable: all the purrs, cuddles, head bumps, paw biscuits, and snuggles you can stand. Tonight’s wind down. I thought Ruby went into her crate and when I didn’t see her in there, I started looking around and spotted her on the back of the couch lol
Pictures are grainy. I hope that is seriously not the air quality in here right now.
One of the guys thought it would be a smart idea to blow the dirt off the driveway around 4 PM today. I couldn’t close the windows fast enough. The house is covered. Needed that like a hole in the head!

Been so excited to host these 2 newcomers! Mr. Arlo and little Ms. Mandy are in da house! Bentley and Arlo are having a blast. Mandy is a 14-year-old dachshund. So tiny. I need to bring her up and down the stairs. Love her already. They are all passed out now. Pictures to come.
