Our cute little dirt leucy doing great! You can just see in the pictures all the dirty speckles going down its dorsal fin and a little on its sides. We have high hopes this nugget stays dirty so we can eventually pair with our beautiful pied boy from Christina of 3OH3 Axolotls!

New England Axolotls is excited to announce we will soon be making some gear! We will be offering t-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, etc with our logo. We also will be doing water bottles and car decals as well as offering personalized tank decals. Stay tuned for more information!

Another rescue went to its new home! She was one of 3 that came to me with the worst bacterial infection. So happy to say all 3 made it through the woods and survived, as there was a point when I thought I'd lose them. I hope you enjoy your new tank and tank mate! 💖

If you had to pick your favorite morph what would it be, and why? I personally can't really say I have a favorite. I used to not care for golden albinos but I've grown to love them for their variety of shades and all the beautiful iridophores. I have a lovely boy, Candyman, and he looks like dark honey rolled in sugar 😍 he came from Helen Summerfield of Summerfield Axolotls 💖

Another baby went to its forever home today 🥰 I got to meet two wonderful people in person today that I've been acquainted with for a while. One of the best parts of doing this is connecting with people 😁 I hope you guys enjoy watching your baby grow!

We have 2 rescues going to their forever homes tomorrow. One of the best parts of my job is finding the perfect forever homes for my rescue/surrender lotls where they will live pet only cushy lives ❤

Our little ladies are doing well. All dead bones/tissue is falling off and new growth is starting on the toes. So happy to see the progress they have made over the last week as we had a scare a week ago. Bacterial infections are nothing to play around with.

28 individually bagged babies made it to their new home tonight safe and sound after a slight delay 🥰 Every single one made it and my heart is so happy and full! They were sent out overnight but it took 3 days to get to their destination.

I wanted to share the new surrenders we got yesterday here at New England Axolotls! They both look great. The wild is a stunning male with lots of beautiful iridophores and 4 gills on his right side and the golden albino is a confirmed female with lots of iridophores as well 🥰 once they are settled in and our lady has had a nice rest they will become available to experienced homes only as pet only 😊

I just want to put it out there that related axolotls should never be bred as axolotls as a species are already 35% related without inbreeding. It can cause several defects and health issues for the axolotls. You also should never ever breed a pair before they are 18 months old as it can be detrimental to the animals' health. Please feel free to always reach out and id be more than happy to provide guidance to all 🥰

I want to give a special shout out to those who show their support for all the hard work we as breeders do! It's not just about raising and finding new waters for our babies, but it's also taking in surrenders and rescues with all, some, or absolutely no background information. Some we save, some we don't. The ones we don't break our hearts. It's a lot of love and time we put into what we do so it's nice to see that we are acknowledged for that. Thank you thank you thank you for your continued support as always ❤

We had to postpone shipping this week due to the awful storm we got! It's so important when having an animal ship to make sure the weather won't effect them in a negative way. The storm we are getting is just an example as to why a breeder may postpone shipping to you :)
