While it may sound like an impossible task, most cats, and especially kittens, can learn to take walks outdoors with a harness & leash. Yet it's not as simple as slipping on any harness, attaching a leash and walking out the door. Here's your step-by-step guide to convincing kitty it's a good idea.

When these 2 Illinois residents visited South Carolina with their large dogs, they had no idea that a plant growing in their yard would take the lives of both of their beloved pets. For one, it was a nearly instant death, and a slow painful one for the other. Would you recognize these toxic plants?

It’s that time of year again! The bugs are out! We've gotten several calls and emails over the last week from concerned owners about bright red skin lesions on their dogs bellies. No need to worry they are bug bites (more specifically gnat bites). They start as small bright red skin lesions that spread out into bullseye or target lesions. They typically go away on their own in a few days. They don't always require treatment, however some dogs find them itchy. If your pet is uncomfortable give us a call and we can help with a treatment plan.

Many people worry that these are Lyme Disease or Ringworm rashes, but dogs don't get the bullseye/target lesions associated with Lyme Disease and Ringworm. If you have any concerns please give us a call.
