In reaching out to the “original 6” ahead of Thursday being my 10 year anniversary of Canine Camp, I learned that one of my original 6 passed 2 weeks ago 😞 Neko. Neko was point blank my man. Always had my back, waited for me everyday, made me feel like a STUD in public because he was a house of a Malamute, absolute mammoth of a dude, and alongside Greta would always draw attention to me hahaha but more than that he was my friend, absolutely. The single biggest, fluffiest teddy bear. And this news cuts deeper because I lost his mom (owner) last year, Sue Derendal, who was my colleague, friend, confidant and one the most amazing people on earth, and she helped me get my name out and gave me guidance to this little thing Canine Camp 10 years ago and BEYOND. Neko and Sue will always be in the Fabric of Canine Camp and I’m lucky to have had them.
We can’t keep them forever, but they will always be there. Miss you dude.

I learned of the passing of one of my best friends, Moby. He was absolutely incredible , to the point that everytime I got to have him with me was the best day ever... I would hear he was coming and was soooo pumped. He wasn’t a “regular” but it was extremely hard to know how not! He just lived far and was Gracie’s best friend, and mine. He was the sweetest soul, loved just being out with us and I always wished he was a regular, but because he wasn’t it made getting to be with him that much better 😞 he was a pup people dream of having, and his family has been incredibly amazing to me even without knowing me….i feel like he may have had his way of saying “yeah, that’s my dude” I will miss him immensely, and I am so lucky and happy to have had him in my life. Rest easy my friend, will always be loved and missed.

And introducing the new girl, Holly! So sorry for the ju**ie picture quality, it was really shady and she’s just so black!! Small world story on this one didn’t realize going in that they are far-flung family! So if I had to do the math, this dog is my fifth cousin hahahahaha (no preferential treatment) she is pocket sized, even though the picture makes her look bigger, but she was absolutely amazing on her first hike, felt like she had already done it with me for a while! Loved her new friends! Welcome to The Pack beautiful!!

Although I am FOREVER thankful for you ALL, all year long, today is the day where I can really express my gratitude to have you in my life! I wouldn’t be Canine Camp without all of you! It’s always hard for me, because words can’t express what you, these pups & Canine Camp means to me. I am afforded a life where I wake up everyday happy and excited…that’s not something a lot of people wake up to 😞 thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me a dream job, and especially trusting me with your furry kids. They mean the world to me truly.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your amazing families, and as always let’s hope some of good stuff finds its way off the tables to my little best friends. Love you all and enjoy those families today!!

And here is my man Oscar!! Big dude in a little body and so so amazing! LOVED his first day so much he gave Ollie a hug hahahaa (sorry was untangling and couldn’t get the camera out fast enough) big fan of all of his new friends and couldn’t have had a better first day. It is so awesome to have you in The Pack bud, welcome to Camp :)

This girl. New girl Aila. What can I say!!? Had the best first day ever and loved all of the new friends!! She was amazing and fit RIGHT in like it was normal! It is always fascinating to see the various colors of the “doodle” and she does NOT disappoint, she is absolutely beautiful and so incredibly sweet, so happy to have you with us Aila! So almost 9 years ago when I started this little Canine Camp, I also wanted to make treats haha it started off as just Christmas gifts for my first year pups, but i wanted to potentially maybe sell them? All natural and the first (and only) was a batch of banana/peanut butter I called the Elvis hahaha here is the page if interested let me know if you all think it’s something I should do?

Introducing, Ellie! So incredibly sweet, very petite and cute, very shy, but it only took a little bit on the trail to bust out of her shell! She tracked it really hard on the trail in between rain storms, and made a bunch of new friends! So incredibly happy to have you with us at Camp, and look forward to seeing you grow as part of The Pack!

Today was Tucker’s first day! Literally just hammered home what it is to be a Golden. The sweetest boy, acted like it was all just normal and loved his first hike! looking forward to having this man with me, welcome to The Pack buddy!
