Did you know that watermelon is a safe and healthy treat for most dogs, as it is low in calories and fat while being high in vitamins A, B6, and C, as well as potassium?
It also contains a good amount of water, which can help keep dogs hydrated, especially during hot weather!
July is #LostPetPreventionMonth.
Remember that a lost pet has a better chance of being returned home if they always wear a collar and an ID tag with your name and contact information.
Microchips are also a terrific tool to help a lost pet get reunited with its family. Shelters routinely scan for microchips when an animal is found, and we have a scanner and have successfully looked up pet owners on the national database.
There are many other new technologies that track your pet, record vital signs on your pet, and allow your pet to be returned to you.
Make sure to take measures to keep your pets safely with you!

If your dog or cat is not current on the rabies vaccine, please call us and get an appointment today in observance of World Rabies Day. If your baby or babies are up to date, help spread the message to your friends and family. Remember, there is no treatment or cure for our cat and dog friends.
