Teaching your horse to give to pressure is the KEY foundation for anything you teach them moving forward. In this video I am working on teaching this mare to soften on one rein and working through that resistance. A lot of times I have horses that don’t understand yet that pressure on the reins doesn’t just mean stop OR my legs don’t mean go faster and straight ahead. Teaching your horse to give to pressure and soften throughout their body is a HUGE stepping stone to many other maneuvers in your training! Give it a try! 🐴

My boy Dingo! ⭐️ This horse has come leaps and bounds from where he was. Two years ago he couldn’t handle even lunging inside the indoor or outside either. Super emotional and at times very unpredictable. LeeAnn has been putting in the time, hard work, and confidence with me and restarted him completely. Proud is an understatement, I am BLOWN away! Don’t even recognize my boy! So excited to see what 2024 has in store for these two! Get it girl! 🔥

Odin had a successful FIRST ride today!! All that preparation and training at our ranch made this first ride a breeze for him! Since we are expecting a little Cowgirl soon 🤰🏼riding him at our place wasn’t an option. So to be able to prepare him for this moment was huge! He blew past my expectations ✨

This mare has been really fun to work with! I have been working with Zeva for a bit now through training lessons. She came in for a tune up for a month with us. She went from being very resistant & bracing on the bit as well as her movement with zero softness. To now moving out and really caring herself in the bridle with grace.
We took her back to basics with her training but also let her be a horse, trail ride, and use her for odd jobs around the ranch. The horse always comes first and in one month I never want to push my horses too hard. Always need balance. She made tremendous progress for a short amount of time! Thank you Sue & Ashley for trusting me with your girl looking forward to continuing her train back at home 💕🙏🏼
