Teaching your horse to give to pressure is the KEY foundation for anything you teach them moving forward. In this video I am working on teaching this mare to soften on one rein and working through that resistance. A lot of times I have horses that don’t understand yet that pressure on the reins doesn’t just mean stop OR my legs don’t mean go faster and straight ahead. Teaching your horse to give to pressure and soften throughout their body is a HUGE stepping stone to many other maneuvers in your training! Give it a try! 🐴

My boy Dingo! ⭐️ This horse has come leaps and bounds from where he was. Two years ago he couldn’t handle even lunging inside the indoor or outside either. Super emotional and at times very unpredictable. LeeAnn has been putting in the time, hard work, and confidence with me and restarted him completely. Proud is an understatement, I am BLOWN away! Don’t even recognize my boy! So excited to see what 2024 has in store for these two! Get it girl! 🔥

We can’t thank enough each and everyone of you who signed , liked , shared and commented on our posts . The support of our community continue to be amazing !!!
When we opened and shared our dream farm with everyone , we promised that it will be every family’s getaway and we promised to keep that smile on every kid’s face !!! We will never break that promise no matter what the circumstances will be , and no matter what the cost will be … and no matter how many haters fight us …
I can tell you for sure … our voices made it to every state and the support is amazing … lot of state officials are reaching out … next steps is our parking lot to be able to accommodate everyone.

Meet “Red Joe Olena” 2012 AQHA sorrel gelding. Barn name is Red ❤️ He’s 15.0 hands, UTD on coggins, vaccines, and deworming. Just recently had his teeth and feet done. Super easy keeper and great feet, currently barefoot. Wonderful for the vet, floater, and farrier. I have owned Red since he was a yearling. I had the pleasure of starting him under saddle and training him. Selling only due to being a horse trainer it’s hard to have time for your own horses and he deserves to have his own person. A great home is a must! He w/t/c no problem. Great stop and back up. He has been trail ridden all over and will cross over anything. Rides out great alone or in a group, it doesn’t matter, he’s the same every time. Does not get amped up in a group and not barn sour at all. Has wonderful ground manners. Would be a great horse for someone who loves to trail ride all over or a cow sorting partner. He’s very cowy. I have not done any sortings in MA with him but was my main horse gathering and sorting cows when I lived in Wyoming. He’s a pleasure to have around the barn. Great around dogs, kids, quads, machines, all the chaos he doesn’t care about much. Trailers beautifully alone or with others. Currently living with mares and geldings no issue. Red would be best for an experienced rider because he can be responsive, he’s not a dead head. Will ride lazy and quiet but when asked to move out he will. Located in Plymouth, MA. Odin had a successful FIRST ride today!! All that preparation and training at our ranch made this first ride a breeze for him! Since we are expecting a little Cowgirl soon 🤰🏼riding him at our place wasn’t an option. So to be able to prepare him for this moment was huge! He blew past my expectations ✨ Thank you Cassie @cmack1054 for stepping in for me and giving him the confidence and guidance through his big moment. This is not an easy job and you were AMAZING! Odin trusted you and was so confident in everything he already learned he truly shined! Also had a huge audience watching at @deeppondfarmhousekitchen, tractors, and all the farm animals running around he could have cared less! Looking forward to watching him grow while I’m on maternity leave no doubt you’ll do amazing! 🤎

This mare has been really fun to work with! I have been working with Zeva for a bit now through training lessons. She came in for a tune up for a month with us. She went from being very resistant & bracing on the bit as well as her movement with zero softness. To now moving out and really caring herself in the bridle with grace. We took her back to basics with her training but also let her be a horse, trail ride, and use her for odd jobs around the ranch. The horse always comes first and in one month I never want to push my horses too hard. Always need balance. She made tremendous progress for a short amount of time!
