The other night, unfortunately, one of my clients had to put down one of her dogs. Doug the Great Dane was an amazing dog! He had a heart of gold!

This job can be hard because these dogs become part of our own family! So when we have to say goodbye it hurts just as much!

I was very happy I got to meet and know Doug because he sure gave me so much love in the little time I knew him! 💓

Please stop doing this! Dogs on your bed or couch are fine, but ONLY if you ask them to come up. Don't allow them to jump up whenever they please, especially if you have a new dog in your home. Set rules and boundaries right off the bat to set you and your dog up for success!

My man, Fitz, on the right you can see is WICKED tense! Front legs stiff as a board! Head and ears are very alert!

Fitz has some serious fear issues that I have been working on. I've been walking him for maybe 6 months or more, I'd have to look back, and just recently, he has started to enjoy me coming over to walk him! 🤣 I know crazy right? But that's what fear can do to anyone! Not just dogs!

Here's my proud moment of the week! Buddy started with me a little over a month ago and was very reactive towards dogs out of fear.

When his owner first brought him home after adoption, a loose dog went after him, which caused him to react to almost all dogs he saw and caused some anxieties in his owner.

After only a week working with him I was able to get him to a put his trust in me and not react towards other dogs. He even showed an interest in them now that he felt safe with me.

Tuesday I was able to bring Dottie with me to meet him, with a party hat for precaution! I'm super proud of him and happy to help him see not every dog is out to get him.

Buddy started with me a few weeks ago and already has come a long way. Buddy is fear reactive due to an incident that happened with a loose dog. (Which is why I am so stern about recall and leash laws) But he has come a long way even in just the few weeks of working with him! I have a couple dogs in mind for a meet when he is ready! 🥰🥰🥰
