We have cold riders! Here are some helpful hints for new winter warriors!

The $ store gloves don’t work ! I find fleece line leather gloves work best! Also hot hands packets for pockets and can often tuck inside gloves.

Toes- WOOL socks ! Also winter riding boots are affordable for the season and nothing worse than dismounting with cold toes. It legit hurts ! Snow boots might work sometimes they hard to fit into stirrups but worth trying ! Def need weather proof.

B***y- several winter riding pants out there but honestly the cahartt type winter coveralls are magical and fine for winter riding !
Snow pants are ok but can be swishy and slippery-

Ear head band warmers usually fit under helmet.

Your guess as good as mine !

Two years ago after the pony finals tragedy - our hunt began for a project pony!

( pony finals drama included taking a very green pony and qualifying for Pony Finals and 2 weeks before our trip to compete in KY Haley broke her leg- dreams flushed !)
Turns out the pony didn’t love the hunter job anyways, zoom zoom, and her mom, Haley and I decided it was a good try but to not continue year 2! 🥰 shout out Pix and Erin. Love you both !

So the search started with an ISO ad.

Harry’s mom found us! He was a little green and a little (cough cough) naughty!
Haley loves spicey! Win !

The absolutely cutest thing you ever did meet. He is a HAM ! Absolutely riot! These two have been absolutely having the best time the last 2 years.
Our pony finals dream went by as harry couldn’t measure a medium , and a pesky late swap wasn’t worth wasting his green year!

Haley and harry did all the things! Their first shows- o Lordy-
Bucking bronco- Sorry for the disruption Sunflower Meadow 😂 to two years later jumping around field stone, winning derby’s and medal finals !

They did some barrels and cows- andthey trail rode too!

Apple knoll cross country over all the big things like a pro! What a fun day!

This pony would not touch water- last month they went wading in the pond. The trust and bond is one not to forget.

Through his naughtiness, Haley took it with a smile and an “o Harold “ or a sassy not so smily “Harryyyyy “ as she goes broncing by😂

We have even been able to put some savy kids on him! They won the short stirrup medals this summer! With out one buck !

Our lease has ended and the owners would like to have Harry back to hopefully be in there program now he has had some life experiences.

We will miss this little guy! And can’t wait to see how he does back home -

I have some news I was nervous to share- but I decided to change my attitude!

Remi was the happiest accident!

Many years ago I was on a hunt for a school horse. We bought one (not Remi) from a dealer in Maine - she supplied camp horses all around. This horse was supposed to be kid safe. Fat QH , young etc. Well day one bucked kid off and continued to do so , one kid sent to er.

The dealer could only take the horse back to resell for refund if I made room for at her farm but taking one in meantime. So I took one in replace until she sold this buckaroo.

Who was it ? An Aged, Cloudy eyed very skinny ottb was the one ! I thought o great just what I wanted. Well about 5 seconds after I met him he was absolutely not leaving me !!

He has not been anything but sainted, reliable, perfect, snuggliest angel boy. Teaching tiniest of rider !
He backs up for the best of bo**ie scratches and twistes his adorable face at you for another cookie.

After a life of service teaching kids how to ride. I made an easy but hard decision- I tired to retire Remi once before and panicked and took him back 🤷‍♀️ Sorry Sis-
But I was being selfish- After summer a of life choices I came to this decision to let him go.

This summer I was introduced to someone who is now my friend, Lisa. A very successful Dr who is starting an EAGLA program at her newly purchased home in Hanover. Equine therapy healing! Adorable barn and acre of grass pastures, dedicated kind owner.

My wheels were spinning. What a lovely “job” for Remi- to be a professional snuggler and healer to people who need it.

The kicker is when he was at his short failed retirement attempt he had a bestie. Named Mac ~ they are the same age - and he belongs to Lisa and is moving home with Remi!!! So these to old men will be living their best retirement lives!

Also stay tuned for more information about this new business adventure! I’m so excited for Lisa and the boys !
