Be honest with yourself—Just because you want a 1D horse, does not always mean you are ready for a 1D horse.
Pick a horse that makes you comfortable.
As you improve and your confidence builds, you can increase your horse power.
There is no fast tracking training or improving your riding ability. IT TAKES TIME!!
Be patient.
For those that have horses that were big winners with the trainers or previous rider and are not having the same success with you, RELAX.
If you are having fun and enjoy your horse, don’t let the opinions of others rattle you.
If you have a horse that you don’t fit—
If you have worked at it for a while and are not making progress—
don’t be afraid to move on.
There is no shame in walking away from one you can’t ride.
Give it an opportunity to be successful.
Barrel racing is supposed to be fun!
If you are not having fun, it’s time to reevaluate.
