Quick direction update for everyone coming to join us today at our 10 Year Birthday event.

The north portion of Fernbrook Avenue is closed at the junction of Highway 55, so the easiest way to get to the store is from the south via the County Road 6 exit off of 494. Safe travels and we can’t wait to see everyone today!

Today is the BIG DAY!! 10 years ago I put everything I had (financially, mentally, physically) into building what is now New Wave Aquaria.

The last decade has been both challenging and rewarding. I have learned so many lessons along the way AND discovered early on what it means to fully embrace being a small business owner. Late nights, early mornings, time management, team management, work-life balance, old friendships, new relationships, sacrifice, tears, laughter, and everything in between.... To say I have mastered the art of business ownership would be a complete fallacy as I am learning something new each day. Some days are easier than others, but the passion for the hobby keeps me motivated to continue the fight for New Wave and for the hobby as a whole.

Every person who has walked through the doors of New Wave has played an important part of what WE have become today. Please join us today as WE ALL celebrate the last 10 years and start the journey for the next 10!

Dear New Wave Family,

Doug and I wanted to give you an update on the status of New Wave Aquaria.

Over the last decade, we have poured our hearts, time and resources into making New Wave what it has become today.

Over the last couple of days, many of you reached out in your own ways showing love and support for both Doug and me. Together, we have come to realize that New Wave is more than a local fish store, we are all part of a larger fish family. Just like any family, there are challenges, struggles, good times, bad times and everything in between. AND....just like a family, we band together and face them head on.

New Wave Aquaria is here to stay as Doug and I have decided to let love, hard work and our passion for this hobby and each other prevail.

We truly appreciate each and every one of you and want to thank you for being a big part of our ever building family.
